    Sad She encouraged his suicide

What do you think about this case: Michelle Carter, then 17, encouraged a guy she was dating, Conrad Roy III, to take his own life?
    The story's on MSN

Thanks for your post, interesting, I thought definitely the psycho, didn't consider MBP but that seems to fit..
I wonder if the charge will be prove, considering it's by texting & that's not really covered by laws

She is definitely a psychopath. She probably wanted the attention she would get as the "grieving" girlfriend, plus she probably got off on being able to manipulate someone into killing themselves. It is interesting that the prosecution went with involuntary manslaughter. Here in Canada counselling someone to commit suicide is a separate charge punishable by up to 14 years in prison, I'm guessing no such law exists in Massachusetts.

I wonder too, look up turtleboysports.com,they did a post of some of the texts she sent him.She is a monster and fucked any way you put it for life, no one with an ounce of common sense will want anything to do with her.I fear in the future if she ever has a child, she WILL not if hurt another for attention.

Yeah she is guilty as sin and now she ain't as bold because she didn't think she'd get in trouble. And then the lil bish had the gall to fake like she was so caring in the beginning but her true intentions came out. After the fact she thought she'd fool people into thinking she's some caring person by posting mental health memes on the gram like heaux are you serious right now?!?

The reason her sentence is light is ........well look at her picture. Society usually is lenient on young pretty people. I don't think she's cute because she's a demon in human flesh but I'm sure the people in her community thinks she's just a pretty misguided teen with future potential who deserves a second chance

Sad. Because that boy she encouraged to kill himself is not going to get a second chance at life so neither should she. P

Ok, her trial continues today, & a law professor says the ? of whether her morally despicable behavior constitutes manslaughter under the law, & I don't know that it does.
Most involuntary manslaughter cases involve physical action, but her words/texts provided the action.
I personally think she got off on convincing him to do it, especially as she texted someone she barely knew saying she heard his last moments.
    Really sick ass bitch

Yeah the laws are fucked up sometimes.

In many people's minds they have to see it to believe it and it's like they discredit emotional abuse. That why if you do get emotionally abused you should document it with a therapist just in case.

They probably hand selected a jury they knew would sympathize with her or the role she's playing. What she did was reckless and at the least she should get man slaughter charges

To be honest, she seems like an black widow in the making. Usually, black widow killers start showing signs of being abusive towards men in their teens or early 20s. Then they move to killing their boyfriends, husbands, children, or others.Usually, black widow will kill men themselves but there was an couple in the 19th century who would encourage men to commit suicide and they did. She encourage his suicide to be seen as the grieving girlfriend in order to get another guy to fall for her and do the same thing to him. Black widows need a great supply of men to harm in order to feel alive and she is starting very young. If the state does not put her away, she will do more harm to other young men and their families.

Yes, good point, & there's a movie called Black Widow, w/Debra Winger & Theresa Russell. It's an interesting movie.

I just read about this. I guess I'm in the minority on it. I just see this as the next step in removing self responsibility and placing blame on someone else. Prosecuting someone for this seems ridiculous to me.

Well looks like the law work in favor of the victim and she was charged with involuntary manslaughter. Penalty is up to 20 years but I think they will go light on her. I will be very shocked if they give her full sentence and reject her appeals.

My opinion- there's a difference between a random crazy drunk in public/traffic screaming at a stranger to "kill yourself" .......and a person who has wormed into the life of a mentally weak/vunerable person to victimize them.

I agree this girl is a black widow in the making. My personal opinion, she is too ugly to easily entice weak-minded men. So she decided early on to work on her psychological hustle.

& FYI I have met women this foul in my lifetime. One (that we ended up taking to court over her attempted manipulations [in the end she was too stupid to play the legal system in her favor]) is partially responsible for the drug related deaths of two young people. Some people can only experience the feeling of dominance by attacking the vunerable. They are out there.......Beware.

This's a very true, powerful, & accurate post I thank you for..
Also I want to say, Otto Warmbier, who just got released from a N. Korean prison for stealing a political banner..he was promised a car & a place in a secret society for bringing the banner (by a so called church member yet, about the car) Also he was promised $ & help if he got arrested
He's now in a coma, from whats said, it doesn't sound positive for him
You really gotta watch what people try to talk you into/ push/ promise you rewards etc

I forgot to add that one of the most haunting/horrifying 911 calls on YouTube is of a kid sister finding her older brother dead of suicide. In two sentences you can hear her scream out all the pain & grief she'll be feeling until the end of her life over his death.

Side note- in the text conversations between the murderer and victim in this case, the victim mentions he is taking his kid sisters out to get ice cream.......

Like, seriously? What kind of person eggs on a teenaged suicide knowing exactly who else is going to be hurt too?

The 1980s black comedy movie "Heathers" is a perfect study of these ideas. Sadly due to the craziness present in our current America, "Heathers" doesn't get run on cable TV a lot anymore. But yeah, the hell with this bitch.

I read on FB that of the few people defending her they were like what about freedom of speech and should other people be responsible for our own actions.

I kind of get it because for example rarely do you see drug dealers held responsible for the junkies they serve who happen to OD. I do think that if people assisted someone in dying (especially if they are unsure, mentally incapacitated/ill, or don't want to die) then they should be held liable whether its a greedy narcissist drug peddler or a sociopathic significant other.

Shouting fire in a crowded theater isn't covered under the first amendment. Nor would something like this be.

That is one sick, demented bitch. She needs to be locked up forever. No person in their right mind will try to convince someone to kill themselves. She should have been trying to get him professional help, not egging him on to kill himself. I realize that she's severely mentally ill herself but come on! I know that some people argue that the boy should've known better than to listen to her but you have to realize that teenage mind's are not fully developed, especially the rational part of their brain. I remember a Psychology class saying that peoples' brains do not fully develop until age 25. This poor boy was already suffering from depression, was already feeling at rock bottom low, and this monster who was supposed to be his girlfriend/friend instead of trying to get him help was looking up ways to help him kill himself and sending him texts about how he needed to just get it over with and kill himself already. Sick. She deserves to rot in prison.
