    Default Health Insurance?

What do you ladies do for health insurance? Or do you have it? Trying to figure out what the best option would be for me. I rarely get ill, but I know I need to have some basic coverage at least. I can't seem to find much on the forum about insurance, hopefully some of you can advise a newbie!

Unfortunately, right now my husband and I do not have any health insurance. We moved to a state that does not have a public health expansion so even Medicaid is not an option.I checked the Obama care site last fall and for just myself with the most basic of coverage with a 5000.00 deductible it was close to 850.00 a month, for both of us its 1700,yeah fuck that.

I used to have Obamacare. My insurance last year was about $300 a month, and this year it would have gone up to $400. It's pretty reasonable compared to other options. I don't have health care right now, but I wish I did.

I'd say skip it if possible. If you can stay under the us poverty line of income then you're exempt from having any.

Ive been wondering too. Im soon to get kicked off of my states health plan because I passed their income cap and Im trying to find the best for me. I need a lot of coverage because I have epilepsy that is medicine dependent and I get sick often because of it.

I would contact your Medicaid worker or DR asap, when I was young I had grand mall seizures so I totally understand.

I have insurance through the marketplace.

I have yet to use it though :/

Probably should at least get those free checkups/pap exams

I still have the gov insurance from being pregnant with my son, the boy has his still from that as well. Dude has no insurance and can't afford it from his lame job, now they charge him with his taxes so we have even less money if he would want to see a doctor for any reason. Dumb. :<

Before I was pregnant I just never had insurance and would just pay out of pocket if I wanted to be seen for anything. It seemed more logical to just pay a couple hundred for an appointment a couple times a year rather than pay a few hundred a month for some dumb insurance when I would still have to pay some deductible.

    getting ill doesn't matter,

you should have health insurance for emergencies, it only takes one slip and fall to break a leg or ankle
