    Default Tooth Implant

    Hi Girls,

I have always been so self conscious with my looks, we all want to look perfect if I am honest? I have two baby teeth with no roots and they do move at times when pressure is applied to them from eating or cleaning my teeth. The baby teeth are at the bottom of my mouth at the front, when I smile obviously they do look odd lol I am slightly nervous going to the Dentist to have this procedure done. It will cost me roughly $3,233.00 - $3,879.00 for a Implant to be fitted in, has anyone else had a Implant before?

Has anyone had Lumineers? apparently I have heard/read they are better than having the actual Veneers done, as they do not file the teeth down and they don't hurt. Snap on smiles are the cheapest option, if you have had this done please share me your stories thanks.

Here is a pic of my teeth...

Please give me your thoughts on what I should have done other than the Implant, please thanks

Yea, it's good you're having the implants, you shouldn't have baby teeth..
I think it'll look great when you have it done, I knew a guy that had to have 9 implats from an accident, it looked fine.

Wait. You have baby teeth that never came out?
I didn't know that was possible.
Anyway, if you've read my recent posts about needing dental work ( tooth fell out, and dentist wants to extract the roots and put in an implant.)
I have been to 3 dentists regarding this, and have an appointment with a 4th one next week.
Implants have been on my mind, and been discussed in length.
Conclusion: expensive and no guarantees. You're body could reject the implant.
Can't you just pull the baby teeth out, and new permanent ones will grow?

Can you try a flipper/snap on first? & Does NHS cover dental?

FWIW my friend had implants/grafts but her body rejected the tissue & maybe the implant too. I need to ask her. I'd wait to have the procedure.

If you are outside of the US, with NHS, I'm sure there is something that can be done to fix your teeth/tooth, even if it's not ideal like a partial denture.

If you are in the wonderful US of A, you'd have to pay through your butt to get implants. Even a partial is expensive. Even stepping your toe into a dental office is expensive because one typically needs to purchase x-rays, check-up, consult ($500 package) before anything is even done. I have two implants in my mouth right now, and it was about 5-6k each in total. At least in the US, when you are told that it costs x for the implant, the amount quoted is only for the implant, it does not include the post or the crown or even the tylenol they'll give you at the office for $50 a pop. There are other options for cosmetic dentistry abroad you might want to explore, if the price tag is a deterrent but you must do due diligence in researching your options bc an implant is a serious operation. Otherwise, you can always just eat ramen noodles for six months or so, forego a car, college, etc to be able to pay for those. A dental school is an option too, but it'll still cost about 2-3k for each dental implant, and the students really are a pain in the butt to deal with and the process is time-intensive via a dental school, I'd much rather deal with anything than a dental school student.

I hope mine will be ok. I've had mine for about 5 and six years respectively.

yeah from what i have heard do whateveeeeeeer it takes not to pull your real teeth, like glamour said, your body can reject implants and they also cause the teeth next to them to become unhealthy...leading to more dental fun :/

The bright smile clip on veneers look awesome I've been wanting to try them theyre like 350 to 800 depending on which ones you get. My teeth are absolutely wrecked from pregnancy and soda. I have the calcium deposits (white spots that are soft ) and yellow discoloration. Ive always hated my teeth but yes dentists are insanely pricey

Lol you are all scaring me now! I have no roots underneath so I will have to have a bridge or a implant. I will have mine done in London I think with help with a financial plan they do 0% for 12 months. I am going to make an appointment with the dentist next week, I will be nervous and anxious having it done. Never heard of the body rejecting a implant before.

Normally I'd agree, but these are baby teeth, & that's a much different situation.
You can get multiple opinions, & ask about the rejection possibility

I agree to look into options abroad, Costa Rica does a lot of cosmetic dentistry.

I had five baby teeth that never fell out. There was no adult teeth underneath them.

I had them removed, got braces and then years later I got implants. It's important to not leave the gap for a long time because your teeth start shifting into the empty space and the bone starts eroding/gum line receding. If there's too much recession or erosion, you can't do an implant as it won't have enough to adhere to.

In Canada they quoted me 5 grand per tooth which is insane so I went to Bosnia instead (where my family is from) and paid about 7 grand for all of them. It was a great experience overall and I'm happy with the work! Going abroad was totally worth it!

It's a two step process. First the put in the posts, then once that's all healed (can take a couple of weeks), they put in the implant. The pain was very minimal!
