Aww, so sad. What's with these music guys & the suicides
MANY MEN WANTED TO LAY ME DOWN, BUT FEW WANTED TO LIFT ME UP
-Eartha Kitt

Noooo what is going on? That fucking sucks. What is happening?
I just seen this. It is sad that yet another great musician has decided to take his own life. I don't know. I wonder if drugs or alcohol had anything to do with it? Musicians and celebrities in general seem to have easy access to drugs. Certain drugs can make people who are already suffering from depression, as it sounds like he did suffer from, to feel even more low than they already do. Awful. May he rest in peace and may his wife and all the children he had somehow find a way to cope. It's sad when people commit suicide. They don't realize the pain that they'll be inflicting on others by their horrible decision to end their life.

Omg.. another one. Wtf :-/

This makes me sad![]()

This made me legit sad......Linkin Park was huge when I was a baby stripper. A lot of my favorite life memories feature songs by LP. (& I worked with a girl who claimed to know one of the guys in the band but that's neither here nor there.)
All I can say is artistic people tend to experience life with more sensitivity & intensity than other people.....what makes some artists great also makes them future overdoses & suicides.
Thanks for the art Chester....

I hope this doesn't start a rash of musician suicides. They were apparently friends and I'm sure they knew a lot of people in the music world.
Where Am I? Missing NYC
That's exactly what was on my mind. Artistic people see and perceive things differently. On the one hand, it can help them to reach something more than a regular person, but on the other one, sometimes they have troubles with controlling themselves. I know it because I consider myself artistic in some way, plus some of my friends are musicians. The availability of money and therefore easy access to drugs aggravate the whole situation even more and can cause troubles. I liked old Linkin Park albums because they were really cool and innovative. Even people who didn't like that kind of music listened to it. I didn't like their subsequent albums but the guy really deserves huge respect. The last time I was so dissapointed was when Paul Walker died.![]()

I see a lot of "artist suffering" as a dancer & even in my other hobbies aside from bar jobs.
I even used to think junkies were "weak" until I tried to understand the hows and whys of how they viewed life & processed their feelings into art, at the cost of their lives sometimes.
It's always a hot topic due to things like "The 27 Club" & the high rate of overdose & suicide with artistic people. (It exists in the restaurant business too, cooks are often behind the scenes rock stars/artists.)
I've been struggling lately but seeing this tragedy is making me feel stronger about trying to be helpful and positive to others. Life is too short.
Points Of Authority!
Love them, although they were a bit weak for my taste.
I like being alone, I just don't like being lonely.

I loved LP ;( They got me thru high school & ended up being on my playlists as a baby stripper. I really enjoyed their music.
"Alot of people are afraid to say what they want, that's why they don't get what they want"~ Madonna
"Respect is a dying art"
"Philosophy is the talk on a cereal box"
So sad. I read online that he was open about the sexual abuse he endured as a child and his subsequent depression.

How sad!I remember seeing Linkin Park on the Family Values tour with Static X, and Stone Temple Pilots. It is weird that Chester, Wayne, and Scott are all gone now
It also weird that Chester was also in Stone Temple Pilots as well.

This was really sad! Seems like you just wonder whose next![]()

Depressing as all hell.
It's sad, but check out Cornell's daughter singing a beautiful Hallelujah tribute to her Dad,
She's really talented

It's just too sad. It's amazing that she has the strength to sing so well so soon after. And she's only 12.![]()
