Default What to do when club is slow?

It gets really slow at times., And when it's slow I feel a little awkward when I'm just circling the room. And I don't wanna be sitting down on my phone I feel like that's rude to the customers. I also don't wanna sit in the dressing room, there's no money there. Any advice on what to do at work when it's slow/dead?

I wish I knew the answer to this as well!

Usually I just go home and try again another day to save my energy

Once i've talked to everybody i'll just generally find a spot in the club where i can see most/all of the floor and chill.
The important thing is to not look miserable while you'te there. I don't bring my phone out on the floor with me cause it's a distraction so i'll just watch thr girls on stage, chat with staff or whatever until it's time to do anothrt lap or i get approached by somebody.

I usually chill on a couch but always say hi and smile and people who arrive. I do get on my cell because honestly I don't think it hurts business because of the type of club atmosphere I work in.

I would greet the customers who are already there, see if I can sell to them, if I am unsuccessful with a sale, I will text all my regulars and see who can come in or work on my other telework hustles. I wouldn't think it's rude to be on your phone especially when the customers know you're there to work and you got shit to do and bills to pay and they're not helping you do it. Now THAT'S rude. LOL

When I know there is little to no potential making money from the customers who are already there, I find a place to sit where I can keep an eye on the floor, get on my phone, and text my regulars. Just bc the club is slow doesn't mean my business has to be. There have been days like last Saturday when the club is empty but bc I got my regulars in there, I walked with $300+ . Not bad for an otherwise slow day.

I don't have any regulars yet so I find a place to sit where I can see who's coming in the door and wait. Sometimes I'll chat with a bartender or one of the other dancers, but usually I just sit and watch the girls on stage for a bit. I try not to look miserable while I do it too.

Promo. If your club does promo, go out and do them.

I second sitting in a spot where you can see the floor but customers can't see you. Then you're free to be on the phone and making whatever expressions you want.

This is cheesy but I have a reg who comes in on day shift (which can be very slow) and there were a couple days we spent playing Cards Against Humanity with any other girls who wanted in. It was a riot and the other customers saw how much fun we were and got re-interested in the girls. I've also heard of girls playing other card games and making small bets so the guys have to tip them a few bucks.

I talk to the club regulars that don't spend money. I only do this when it's totally dead, but it's paid off, a lot bought me dresses or outfits, or pay for my dinner when I order food. Or on really dead shifts I've had a couple guys like this come put a 50 on my stage. Obviously it's not the most money, but it beats not doing anything. It helps me too, because if I sit on my phone I get out of the right head space to hustle.

I usually keep a book in my locker. after i have tried to sell to everyone in the club, i find a well lit spot where i can see the floor and still be seen and read. IME, something about a girl who would rather read than waste her time.... customers approach me. then its a fairly easy sell because i can always go back to my book.... unless he would like to distract me by some other means
