Default Eros.com any experience with them.

I'm thinking of escorting, and Eros.com seems in my desired price points. Anyone have experience with them?

I used to be on Eros and my experience with them was mixed, and then kinda just went down the toilet. When I first started, they were definitely worth it for me. My area does not rely heavily on the site, so very few women are on there. But out-of-towners who were used to checking it first would still go on there, and I would have little competition for having my ad seen. It's cheaper where I am too, since they know they are not the big advertising site here.

However, I started to get what I suspected was LE from there. I went a couple months where every single night, I'd get an email from my ad off there - right around midnight, weird email address, no name, no info; just "Can you meet now?" Every single night. Until I took it down for awhile.

When I tried to reinstate it, Eros demanded that I needed to send my original, uncropped pictures that I used in my ads so that they could "ensure that I was really 18." I initially did try a couple times, to different email addresses because I wasn't getting any confirmation. Then they claimed I hadn't complied and deactivated me, and I was like ok, fuck you. And you know what - that's a load of shit anyway. How does seeing my face prove anything? I don't have my birthday tattooed on my forehead. There's absolutely no logic to the idea that seeing my full pictures with my face would "prove" that I'm over 18. What I'm sure they really meant is "We want to make sure this is really you and you aren't using fake pictures." But it's still bullshit. No other ad website I've ever used polices pictures by demanding that their providers send them all of their uncropped pics. That's asinine. It STILL wouldn't fool-proof prove anything if I had access to someone else's pictures and had just cropped them. I haven't bothered trying to get back on there by trying to jump through hoops, considering the fact that in the year leading up to this, all I got off there was super-obvious law enforcement.

But honestly, I can only speak for my area, which is the midwest. Though it wouldn't surprise me if they did this "send us your unedited pictures" crap all over. P411 is a much better site.

Eros is definitely not what it use to be.

Well, if a the competition were to post lots of ads with pics blurring out the face & it is a bait and switch scam. If they were to get more than one n a short period of time. Men would trash that site & stop using it.

They've always been vigilant about verifying if the girl in the pic .

I advertise on there infrequently and this would be my second month in a major market and nothing. It's good for some people still but it's also about price elasticity, with the market that seems unable to support higher than 600+/hr prices in most places. I've heard the same type of decrease in quality of clients with backpage and seekingarrangement. I think that the more saturated each site gets with potential clients, the caliber of clients goes down. The type of clients that eros yield, however little (or a lot) it may be, tend to be better than some of the alternative websites.

I get that, but their logic behind it doesn't really prove anything. If I had a bunch of pics of someone else and I blurred out the face because I was doing a bait and switch scam, sending them the pics with the face unblurred doesn't prove anything. It doesn't prove that that person is, in fact, me. It just proves that I have access to the pics, which is obvious anyway based on the fact that I used them, and/or that I have access to software that blurs/unblurs faces. The only way they, or anyone else would know, is if they saw me in person and they were like "Yeah, your body is way off from the pic." But it's not as though the people at Eros know what I'm supposed to look like, so how would it prove anything for them to see my (or "my") face in a pic that may or may not belong to me?

I respect the fact that they don't want their site to be scammy, but no other ad website has ever made me do this, probably because of the very fact that it doesn't really prove anything for them. My main beef with it wasn't even that they asked for it, but that they kept telling me to send them to different email addresses and then couldn't even get their own shit together to find the emails I sent, and then blamed me for it. Considering that I think it's a silly thing to ask for anyway, I didn't appreciate being hounded and then deactivated and made to try to scurry around fixing their problem when I had been trying to comply with the request. Especially since they didn't word it that way - they said they needed them to "verify my age," which makes even less sense. If they just wanted to verify my pics were real, they could have just said that. But the entire process, back-and-forth I had with them over verification procedures, and the obvious lying of why they wanted them in the first place, then coupled with their inability to handle the admin end of their own request.... it left a bad taste in my mouth for working with them. :/

I thought it was just me! Haven't posted in months. Its weird though. It seems it was around the time BP went down, that Eros started to crash. Which is odd. Anyway, I may try again when school starts but nervous cause I was losing money with them
