Hi, I am a newbie to dancing and would like to know some essential items you must always have when you are working that could change everything! I know the house mom may have stuff but I want to be prepared all with my own![]()

things i always have with me that i didn't always when i started... a lock, baby wipes, small scissors for cutting tags/strings, mouth wash, make up remover, super glue
Mints/gum, hand sanitizer, baby wipes, deodorant, body spray, hairbrush.

a blunt![]()

A lock! There's a couple "what's in your dance bag" type threads on here that would probably help you.
Rubber bands to keep your money together in your garter/underwear. Clear band-aids.
Don't try to win over the haters. You are not the Jerk Whisperer.
Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.

lock, small scissors, black sharpie, needle/thread, safety pins
Baby Wipes, spray deodorant, hairbrush, tampons, liquid bandage, makeup remover
Mints, mouth wash, tooth brush/paste, hand sanitizer
clear nailpolish (& whatever color nail polish you're wearing that day),
Gum and breath mints. I'll be giving these out all night!

-Eyelash glue
-Also basic makeup staples. I try to come in with my makeup already done because i don't wanna bring the expensive stuff and risk it getting stolen or someone asking to borrow some. But i bring powder for when i get sweaty and shiny and a cheap eyeliner.
Also even if the club doesnt make you pay up front to work i always bring my tipout or at least part of it (if it's a high tip out) so I'll always be able to tip out at least a little something. Security and djs remember when u dont tip and some hold grudges (even when theyve seen you've had a crap night). A little $$ even if it's not the full amount goes a long way
Super glue, gum, deoderant, wipes, alcohol/witch hazel, toothbrush nd toothpaste, makeup, outfits, charger, money holder
scared money makes no money
Eyelash glue
Deodorant
Wipes
Mints or gum
Dental floss
Extra cash (for those SLOW nights)
Perfume
Rubber bands (you can get a huge pack at the dollar tree)

^^i pop one in my mouth and offer him one. 9/10 they accept
Out of all that stuff, wipes and deodorant are the most important
Do any of you ladies use some kind of spray to set your makeup so it doesn't smear if you're sweating? I once hear something crazy like using hair spray but that just seems unsafe to spray on your face.

amen!!
My bag includes:
Baby wipes
Deodorant
ice breakers
Tampons
Extra outfits. Panties. Bras
brush
Advil
Zip lock bags (i found that putting my bottoms in here after I've worn that helps me remember what I wore. no way i can remember after a long night)
Small amount of toilet paper. Our club is horrible at stocking & I always forget to check. Never make that mistake again! lol
A snack! If i get low blood sugar and hungry at work I can't concentrate!

Mints, hand sanitizer, portable blotting palette to keep the oilies away
Strong mints! Not only for you breath &or other dancers, but if you suck on these and take deep breaths through your nose, it's a natural (and super effective) pick-me-up. It refreshes your breath and your mind.
Baby wipes. Deodorant. Body Spray. Anything that keeps ya feeling and smelling fresh.
A small towel to soak up the sweat from an ass-busting stage set.
A lock. Things can mysteriously walk away from you in a dressing room if you don't lock it all up in locker.
A money bag. I make runs from the floor to the dressing room very frequently solely to deposit money in my locker. Don't wanna be carrying around loose bills all night.
A snack! And a bottle of water. Stripping is work. We do what athletes do... in 6 inch heels.
A back up pair of shoes and a back up outfit. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ anything can happen. Be prepared.
And on that note: your phone charger.
A comb or brush.
Q-tips!! Wipe away the runny eyeliner and the trailing mascara.
Earphones. Make time for a five minute confidence boost if you need it. Pop in your earbuds and tune out the club with your fave tunes. Get your head back in the game. Stay focused. Hustle hard.
Good luck, babes. You got this. Go make that new girl $$$.
So true about the mints as a pick-me-up. I usually use a mint breath spray and yesterday forgot to bring it and I def felt the difference, mint is energizing

My work bag always looks something like this
-Phone/charger
-Wallet
-Combination lock
-House fee (I prefer to pay as soon as I get there so it's out of the way)
-Makeup bag (deodorant, pocket hairbrush, blotting paper, tampons, tweezers, perfume, hairspray, powder compact, dental floss, tissues, lipstick, lipliner, lip gloss, eyeliner, dry shampoo, lash glue, extra false eyelash set, etc)
-2-3 outfits in a Ziplock bag with dryer sheets ...it keeps them nice and fresh. Plus I sometimes like to change outfits throughout the night to spice things up if I feel my energy/mood fading. It also helps for really drunk guys you've already sold to. You can go back in a new outfit and they think you're a different girl
-2 extra thongs
-Water bottle and a snack (like an apple or a banana)
-Stripper purse/clutch
-Hand sanitizer
-Baby wipes, if not provided by the house mom
-Rubberbands, again, if not provided by the house mom/club
-Mints or gum
This is usually all I need. I think it's a nice balance between the bare minimum and all the little extras. You don't want to overpack as if you're preparing for WWIII.
