Thoughts and prayers for all
Strange weather does weird things to animals. Here is a short video of a wild hawk who sat next to a guy...in his car.

I live in Houston but left on Friday, my friends are trapped in their apartments, they live above the ground and they are worried about their cars, The pictures they sent me are awful. Now the Airports are closed too.

I'm in San Antonio and it hasn't rained much at all.
I just found out the my cousin Allie and her bf, both are 18 and live in Houston, got flooded out of their apartment and we haven't heard from them in 5 hours. My mom just called me crying to tell me. My other cousin Jen who lives just outside of Houston called my Grandma and she is hysterical because she hadn't had from Allie. Last we heard they were driving around for 3 hours looking for somewhere to go. Apparently there is no gas or drinking water in the Houston area. My grandma and my aunt made arrangements for them to stay at a hotel, but they couldn't get to it because of their car stranded them in high water and they had to be rescued. So we assume they're in a shelter but we haven't heard from them in 5 hours.
I just hope she's okay.
I hope they are okay![]()

Just heard they texted my grandma. They are okay and in a shelter. More later.
That's great news, Elektra. If anyone needs info, I found this site.

Best wishes to everyone down there.
Where Am I? Missing NYC

They now have gator warnings in place. One gator farm has 350 of them about to escape if the water doesnt go down. That is so terrifying http://kfdm.com/weather/hurricane-st...nd-its-flooded

It appears mostly over here. The pasture and garden are greening up; it is amazing what 25 inches of rain will do.

Pokey!!!
Wow, w/Gators, I do see in the news (before storm) they come right up to ppl's home, pool, etc.
I guess they feel comfortable anywhere,& who's gonna bother 'em?

But if that fence doesn't hold that's 350 MORE gators swimming around neighborhoods where people are wading through the water. We've had to deal with this in Florida when the canals overflow after hurricanes and heavy rain. But nothing like what Houston is dealing with. I've never had to endure a flood like that before.
