So a word of warning, this is an angry post. I'm sure you ladies know what I'm talking about, when it's the beginning of your night and you're making conversation with customers. I'm sure you're are familiar with that asshole who says, "this is the best money you'll ever make."

What pisses me off is that when people say this, it's a complete mind-fuck, and it's not accurate. Without sounding like a conspiracy theorist, it sounds like a sexist ploy to keep dancers "in their place" and to keep them from moving on to other well-paying jobs. I'll explain: it's very hard as a dancer to work and go to school. So most of the time, the most you can manage is 2-3 nights/week. Realistically, that number is closer to two nights/wk.
In order to make 100k before taxes, you need to make 1000/night and work EVERY SINGLE WEEK. With dancer burnout, that's hard to do. Those things provided, I'm here to say that there ARE opportunities that exist that pay just as well or more than stripping (just read Glassdoor's list of jobs paying >100k)They may require more hours, but the stress is nothing compared to the traumatic parts of dancing. And you can do those jobs well into your 60s.Think about it: not getting grabbed (see: assaulted) by strangers at your work on a nightly basis! And still making money as a female! What a fucking concept!

We can be doctors, attorneys, business owners, IT professionals/ whoever the fuck we want to be. So my point to you ladies is this: there is no shame in stripping. But never feel like that is your only option. And never let some fucking dumbass man tell you that it's all you can be. Chances
are, he's just fucking jealous because he makes half your salary. So concludes my rant. Fuck the haters 😆😈😎🖕🏼💸

This is true. I struggled with this after leaving dancing. Because I went from 1500/wk minimum dancing to 1500 every two weeks working full time. I still find myself dreaming back to the days where money was so plentiful. -__-

Why would you sit and talk to someone who's verbally abusive or mindfuckery like that? I don't talk to ANYONE unless they are paying me. Also, 99% of everyone at a strip club is full of sh*t. So just know he's full of shit, and you can always make more money like he knows what the hell he's talking about anyway...

Also, if a guy gets grabby just push his hands down and put your heel in his crouch. He'll stop real fast don't worry.

Lol I don't think I've ever had a customer make that exact comment to me. That would be such a weird thing to say out of the blue. But guys at the club say all kinds of stupid/insulting shit you've just gotta let it go and try not to even give it a second thought. He doesn't know what you will or will not end up doing with your life or how much money you will or will not make and he doesn't deserve an explanation or to be educated on what some strippers end up doing later on. Who cares what he thinks anyways? If you're getting mind fucked and feel like youve been "put in your place" because some dork at a strip club told you something like that I'm sorry to say but your biggest problem is yourself not the asshole customer.

Customers will say anything to make themselves feel better and make you feel insecure.

Anyway, if it's the best money I ever make... GREAT! That means I can be an entrepreneur, work my own hours, travel the world, and live life by my own standards. I don't have to work for someone else and make peanuts. Why wouldn't I want that?

I am eternally grateful for sex work, and the way it has improved my life. I no longer strip, just cam, but if a customer tries to tear me down, I simply kick/ban/mute and move on to the next.

Wow, what dickheads. I don't think I ever had a customer say that to me. I usually got more of the guys who tried to insist that I would be better off working some bullshit job for $10/hr... I think the majority of guys in strip clubs are under the impression that anyone who works as a stripper couldn't possibly be smart or ambitious enough to work a different high-paying job. They assume that once you are "forced out of dancing" due to age, you'll end up in fast-food minimum wage. So ignorant.

I once had a guy in a strip club (when I was sitting there as a customer, even, not as a dancer) who overheard me talking to my friend about how my "dream life" would be to live in Hawaii or at least own a vacation home there. And he loudly interjected himself in our conversation with "Hawaii!? That's REALLY expensive!" And I was like "Well, sure, that's why it's a future dream, for like, when I'm a millionaire." His response? "Oh, so you're gonna marry a millionaire?" I was like "No... I'm not going to marry a millionaire, I'll become one myself." And he laughed at me and said "Yeah, sure, you should probably just stick to the 'marrying a millionaire' plan."

So, apparently, to men who sit in strip clubs, women just straight up aren't capable of making money for ourselves... lord knows our only option is to "bag" a rich husband.
Don't try to win over the haters. You are not the Jerk Whisperer.

Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.

What a joke! I had once similar line -when indian dude came up to me (works in IT) and said that he will give me 160$ for an hour in VIP. Because it's slow night and supposedly "the best money I can make this night". I politely decline. Working part-time I make money that he is making working full time. Period. And I go to school full-time -meaning, that upon graduation I am very well can be his boss.
Most men don't like succsessful women. I often have to play dumb-as-fuck stripper in order to make money. I lost one regular due to the fact he found out I applied to the school of his dream, to the field of his dream. He stopped taking dances from me.
