Default Best way to switch clubs without burning bridges?

I have been working at my current club for eight months. It has been really slow and I'm thinking about switching to a club that I hear is busier.
I don't know how to switch clubs without burning bridges at my current club. I'm afraid if I say I want to try my luck somewhere else, he'll get mad and not want to hire me again if I choose to return.
Should I take a week off and try that new club?
Should I give two weeks notice?
Should I try working both clubs at once then make my decision?
Should I lie and say I'm moving out of state for a while?

I really don't know what's the best way to do this.

This isn't really like a normal job. Girls quit/get fired while screaming profanities at managers and get rehired a few weeks/months later no problem.

Personally i'd take a week off and try the other club and then go from there. If you decide to switch you can tell management you're traveling for a bit, taking a break, whatever. Or if your club has no schedule you can just literally stop showing up until you want to work there again.

It's really hard to burn bridges in this industry unless you have a petty manager that already hated you. Any time i've switched clubs i've been up front and mostly managers are really nice because if you've been a good dancer they want you back.

You are overthinking it. You don't even have to say anything. The turn over is really high in general.

Just do it! I think the only person who will notice is you.

It's a part of the industry- the grass IS often greener. Club mangers get that it's good for dancers to go be a fresh face somewhere else. You can always go back.

I don’t understand why this would be an issue. We are just $$$ to them.
