Default Is it possible to use a wireless PTZ security camera as a webcam to cam model?

Hi my name is Cera, I'm new to stripperweb, I use to be a cam model for streamate and livejasmin a few years ago and would like to start camming again, I am wanting to buy a wireless pan tilt zoom 360 degree 1080p HD with audio security camera and mount it to my ceiling at a perfect angle showing a submissive look at me both my bed and xpole, I'm wondering if I'll be able to do this and if so how? I really do not prefer to go back to a basic webcam as I hated constantly having to move it on my own an a wireless wall mounted one just seems perfect for that submissive look in going for, I read another forum on here before about a Sony EVI security camera being used as a webcam for cam modeling, I'm unaware if that though is 1080p HD and has audio, also unaware if it is wireless ptz can be mounted to ceiling, I've been looking on Amazon for ptz cameras in general like what I explained and I found this article someone posted about using a foscam security camera on Skype and Yahoo chat an sites as such with use with splitcam... Here is the article ,is it possible to use splitcam and ptz cameras with this method on Streamate and Livejasmin? Would this be a good camera for what I'm trying to do? Thanks

^^ it's possible to do this but you need a very reliable wireless connection and router. What you would do is use a Webcamsplitter software like the one from VerySoft and add the camera as a IP camera. The wireless PTZ cams have their own IP addresses so it's pretty easy to set up. The problem is, there is more latency, wifi can disconnect easily and the picture quality is limited. It's never really 1080p. With many webcam sites, a high bitrate/resolution is already pretty hard to achieve even with powerful gaming machines and 4K cameras. That being said, you can take measures to help with this kind of set up by hardwiring your desktop and only using wifi for the camera. Just know that you will probably experience disconnects and freezing more often than with a corded webcam set up.

Thanks Hyori, what do you suggest I can do to have PTZ and a good angle for my xpole and bed I'd like to have it higher up, is there a tripod tracker thing I can buy and a USB extender I already have a USB 1080p Logitech webcam , I heard from a forum on here there's some sort of tripod tracker thing but I also heard it doesn't zoom... , What about a ptz conference cam do those require their own wifi connection? Is there a good 1080p ptz webcam on the market that isn't a security camera requiring it's own wifi?

I actually didn't go into getting a PTZ camera after I found it about all the issues and instead went with a regular camera. The BCC950 is pretty much a webcam only it has the capability to be controlled remotely so you can pan/zoom so it would work for your set up only I don't think you can mount it on the ceiling. Your PM to me indicated that you have a satellite connection so I would definetly work with a regular camera set up and not go wireless. You need all the bandwidth you can get. Hopefully your upload speeds are sufficient otherwise you're pretty much limited to 720p to 1080p at the most...maybe much less. In that case, you don't need an expensive webcam/camera because your resolution will be limited by your upload speeds.

I think the TrackerPod is what you were referring to, it's a pretty neat gadget. It looks like it can be mounted as well. https://secure.eagletron.com/TCam/purchase/cart.php

The camera itself needs to be able to zoom in and out. Why not just go with a camcorder or dlsr? You can mount those as well as any camera with tripod threading by using arm extenders. Or clamps. There are so many accessories you can get for your camera and use it however you like.

Looks very nice and the specs are pretty good. Not sure about the audio capabilities though. You might need a microphone too. I don't think it comes with an actual physical remote, you'll need to control it through your computer. I think there are some conference cams that use an app but I'm not sure.

This one I think has all the specs you want:

    https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-PTZ-...5WDKQVC57XWVVD

It will need a separate microphone, and I'm not sure if the remote will work with cam sites as it needs a plug-in for Skype type calls.

I only use my IP cameras for my voyeur cameras. but yea I think using a software should be able to get the camera to broadcast. I might test it out one for my voyeur cameras since my IP Cameras have night vision. which would be a bonus to have with my rude live house set up.

The Aver camera also comes with a USB set up. There are about 5 new models of cameras right now that are USB, PTZ its in the video conference room cameras line up.

Definitely way more options for cameras then before. Now its about budget and preference.

I've tried so many camera's and accessories in the past its not even funny. The Trackerpod, Sony Evi-D100/D70 (I don't remember which one I bought), Sony Evi-Hd1 and Logitech Pro are a few of the many that I've tried. I personally didn't like the Trackerpod because it felt cheap, I could hear it panning and tilting and it was slow compared to the panning and tilting speed of security/usb ptz camera's. I sent the Trackerpod back because of the reasons I listed and sent the Sony Evi-D back because I didn't like the quality (wasn't HD and the colors and lighting weren't that great).

The Logitech Pro is a pretty good camera. The remote does work without Skype, I tested the camera out online and offline when I had it....I've noticed that a few ladies on SM use it as well. Logitech has a few other ptz camera's... Pro 2 and Meetup. I went through the specs of the Pro 2 and I honestly don't know what the difference is from the Pro besides it and the remote being a different color. The Meetup camera has 3-microphone speakerphone (not sure if those are regular mics as well) and an option to add a mic and its suppose to do 4k. I don't know how practical it is for camming because its kind of big but I think it maybe a good option for anyone wanting 4k quality with the ability to ptz. It can be mounted to a table, wall, or TV. Since it can be mounted to a wall it mostly can be mounted to the ceiling. Another option which is a little bit more expensive and would still need a mic is the Epiphan Lumio Ptz. The only reason I could see buying this over the others is the fact that it has sdi and hmdi output.

I preferred the Sony Evi-HD1 over all of the options I tried. It goes up to 1920x1080 at 60fps. I did a mini review about ptz camera's in this thread. However I would still like to try the Meetup and Epiphan just because (I seriously should've done Youtube reviews on all the camera's and accessories I've tried, uggggh). Anyways the Sony Evi-HD1 has a tripod hole so it can be mounted to the wall or ceiling. It doesn't have sound so I use the mic of my Logitech c920 or Blue yeti. I've read pretty good things about Snowball mics which start at around $30. The camera its self isn't wireless but the remote is. You would need a capture card with it, I use the Magewell sdi card.

If you are looking to go with a non-IP camera you may want to focus on security camera's or the Epiphan. Although there's usb extenders its better to use Sdi when a camera has to go a long distance. You'd simple just need to get a long sdi cable which you can easily find for a decent price on Ebay and an extension cord.

Any of the camera's(even IP camera's) listed in this thread can be used with spiltcam software as long as the software supports it. I know Manycam and Verysoft support IP camera's not sure about the others. If you're going with a sdi/security camera or hdmi camera then the capture card shows up as an option just like usb webcams so yes you can use it to split. You just can't of course use the SMbroadcaster since it doesn't allow splitting, you'd have to use OBS or Adobe Encoder.

Girls on Jasmin are using this camera and their stream, when they zoom, is pristine https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Conf...ywords=cc3000e .
It's basically the "original" version of PTZ, but it does have microphone too, you can even connect your phone to listen music and other cool stuff. The bad thing about it, is that it has a lot of wires.
The PTZ camera, that you shown above, it doesn't have a microphone, you will need an additional one. But, in the rest, is the same as it's father CC3000e. I know it, because is the webcam I have on my wishlist.

I just saw this commercial on youtube and it seems like it has all of the elements that the op was looking for. Pan/Tilt/Zoom up to 30x. Remote control. 1080 HD, Mountable to the ceiling. Amazon has it listed for $399 The HD Huddle Cam
