Smiley Just finished my first shift ever!!!

Omg, this night has been such an awesome whirlwind. I showed up to the club and they initially said they didn't need any dancers, but the DJ knew me since I'd been in a few times, and he persuaded the house mom to give me a shot. They handed me off to a dancer I sorta knew just from hanging out there, she kinda showed me the ropes and answered all my questions, and I got ready and we did a set together. It was so great; I wasn't too bad with my sets, I broke in my hustle and got a few dances and two drinks (was required to sell at least one), and that was with only like 15 customers coming through the whole night. I didn't make much at all, just $60, but I'm sure I'll up that soon. They said Tuesdays are the quietest anyway. Most all the girls were very chill and friendly too, and offered me lots of tips on moves and stuff, so I'm really relieved to be starting out in a more relaxed environment, instead of someplace super cutthroat.
But yeah, it was just super exciting and great, and I wanted to share!

Thank you! It was great; I could kinda take a peek at what she was doing to get an idea of what to do, and it really helped my nerves too

    lol I quit
Not sure whether I'm happy about what I did or if it was yet another absolutely awful decision to add to my long list of bad decisions.
But it is what it is. It wasn't really very realistic for me to work there anyway; 20 min away and I have no car, so bf always had to drive me.
Some of the girls were nice af, I'll miss them.
    To Atlanta, I guess.

why quit? did you cause a scene or anything? unless you have a schedule there's no reason to officially "quit" a club. i have clubs that are far from me that i only show up to once a month (or less)

Oh, no, I didn't cause a scene or anything. I just had to look at the pros and cons, and it was SO not worth it. I would have liked to keep it as an option, but I left shortly after I got there, very fed up with things but not showing it, just kinda leaving, and as I walked out, the bouncer was like, "You know what this means, right?" and at that point, I was so done that I told him "yes, oh well" and he went inside, presumably to tell the housemom that I'd left/quit. I don't honestly even know if I had a schedule; nobody told me shit. It was so weird overall.

    I really was
I could have pulled it off, as far as transportation, as one of the other dancers lives right down the road from me and offered to drive me to and from work, but the earning potential was horrific (they all spent like ten minutes raving about "that one night like four of us made $200-$300!!1!", the huge cut they take (all of your first $30 dance and half of each thereafter), no VIP/champagne rooms, just a really dingy room with torn up booth-style bench seats for lap dances, they're only open tuesday-saturday 9pm-2am, so I couldn't have worked any other shift if I wanted to (I'd have preferred dayshift, especially because my guy works all day and I hate that I'd have literally no time with him at all), and that, too, was a big one - he works till 8pm, gets home at 8:20, and I'd have to leave right when he got home, and he'd be asleep by the time I got home. And since the club doesn't allow boyfriends, it's not like he could even swing by and say hi and get some dances from other girls or whatever if he was bored or in the mood for it. It was in a super sketchy area too, and the club itself was very run down - I'll post a pic of it. All things considered, all that plus emotional/mental labor and physical strain, it just wasn't worth it to me - especially when a $200 night is the stuff of legend!!
