Default Business plan for sex workers

    Hey ladies,

I am really struggling with writing a business plan for pso work, fetish modeling, adult entertainment overall. I want to incorporate all facets but I’m a little confused as to what need to be added. Would it be like a regular business plan? Or do I even need it? I have found little info on Google and thought here would be the perfect place to ask since most of you all are business oriented.

What is the purpose of writing the business plan ??

Are you writing it to plan out what you think your income and business will look like. You really need to plan out your daily method of operations. Business plan is honestly really good when you are trying to plan on getting a loan or investments.

but with the low cost of entry for this line of work, and also it pretty easy to get in and make money, not necessarily make a profit. The plan is good to know what you are going to be doing everyday.

Basically you need to know what you are going to be offering, how much cost it cost to get going, then how much you need to make then how much you need to make and create a living.

Thank you so much for responding! I don't really need to make a business plan but more like a plan for my business....if that makes sense lol But I couldn't figure out the words or phrase to convey what i need . I mainly need help with what you just stated "Daily method of operations". Things like making a budget and finding out all my expenses needed so I can write them off on my taxes. This is the first time that adult work is my main income so I am running around like a headless chicken. I need to get well versed in money management for adult entertainment.

What you've written is a great start for me. I'm gonna fill in the blanks and take it from here.

You can try a dreamboard instead which is more of a creative way of making a business plan. Figure out what you want to make per shift, or year, where you want to be, what you want out of it and by when and just follow it week by week until you get there. It's worked for me. There's an awesome motivational law of attraction planner on amazon that I purchased that's also helped me put things into perspective.

I went to the website www.NationalCoalitionofsexualfreedom.com I found a sex-positive lawyer and called them and asked all of my questions. I knows this thread is really old I just was really impressed with the particular lawyer that I called. It's a great resource for people who work in the adult industry. There's a whole section of Industry friendly people from psychologist to accountants to lawyers. It's a very helpful website that all adult industry workers should be very familiar with.

I recently made my income calculator chart for $100k which is give my daily target of what I need to make from at least from doing cam shows and working on niteflirt.

It's not all of my income sources. that will be another spreadsheet to be made. Then I got the software YNAB (You need a Budget) I at least know what I personally need to live and enjoy life. then I have my financial planner and searching for a accountant to handle all my tax planning and then retirements and investments.

It helps to know what you need to keep your business online, internet, phone, domain and web hosting, web designer, wardrobe, I know in Canada you can not claim make up as a business expenses. but the accountant I am thinking of re-connecting should be able to give me the new law update on make up purchases for being an entertainer.

I attended a workshop where a business accountant for artist, went through everything that Revenue Canada accepts from artist. but with my business meaning all online from adult content, performing, and affiliate marketing, coaching, I want to figure out what does my business tax planning look like. which I know my financial planner has a connection with an accountant so it become a matter of finding the right one i click with.

For me just because they claim to be sex worker friendly doesn't mean I will use their service I could completely hate their energy and for would be a waste seeing them.

Online business has a lower start up cost, but it is a cost you need to calculate so you know what keeps your business open. It's one thing to make all this money to live off but you have to remember there is a cost of being able to make this money as well. that is something my friends don't really get.

I totally understand this. They think that if you answer the phone that is all there is to PSO work. Thank you for a post where I can break it down for people so they know the cost when they are looking at starting this.

Thank you so much for such a detailed response! I am definitely making a spreadsheet today. What is confusing me is that my income isn’t the same each day. Coming from a 9-5 for so long, that threw me off big time. However,( and this may be simple as shit) consistency is everything. And I found out I am not a very consistent person. But apart of me making sex work my career is learning to be. I realize that I have a lot less anxiety if everything is structured and I have an actual plan. And I’m about to look up YNAB. Thanks again!
