Default How did you choose your look?

I have checked back a few pages and didn't see this topic but if it is a repeat, sorry.

I am curious how you chose your look? I mean the general aesthetic you practice at the club? Is is a form of alternative persona to protect you? I think that is what I would do to help separate private and public life. Is it just a look you like? Does it change based on mood and I assume location? Have you evolved it significantly as you have danced?

I am not asking for personal information but rather general interest. I have a very different work persona to my private life. As a salesman I am an extrover with my customers and always wear a three piece suit with tie and pocket kerchief and nice accessories but on my own I am a khaki and henley/t-shirt guy, relatively quiet and a bit of a loner I am an INTJ. I do this in part as it is so much work to be in sales (which you all know) that when I am off I turn down my self for my own sanity. I also know you don't go full dancer outside the club but just was curious how much of the real you is part of your dancer persona?

I am again not after personal information, just thought of this as I was driving yesterday eve. Thank you.
BTW I look NOTHING like Daniel Craig!

I don't know about the ladies choices....but I have found if I go from work or customer meetings in a suit...will attract a different tyoe approach in the club from the ladies. ,i prefer the jeans and button down shirt which is my more "casual" visit, Ladies seem to be more relaxed around me..could be my imagination though!

I was thinking this applied more to ladies but it does to the customer as well. Last week I went after work but took off my tie and jacket, just my slacks, vest and open neck shirt and I was treated differently than my khaki's and casual shirt. Never really considered it as I don't go that often and normally after checking into my hotel and showering and changing. I wonder if the ladies approach differently due to the clothes? They say the do make the man.

If we're talking about what we wear it definitely makes a difference. Many of the dancers seem to know brands, watches, shoes, cologne, and the behavior that should go with them. I've seen debates on here about how to treat poorly dressed customers (assuming some wealthy customers dress poorly).

As I said, I was thinking more about the ladies when I started this post but it was obviously unclear. As far as the customer, I just try to be clean. I rarely wear my suits and ties as I don't like the smell of cigarettes and that always seems to permeate the clothes after a visit and necessitates more dry cleaning which isn't good for a suit or a tie. I would think fixating on clothing is a bad idea for dancers, instead looking at watches, shoes, belts, etc to determine the wealth of an individual is probably, but not always a better indicator. I only go to SC's when I travel, which is often, and I don't carry extra watches etc so I keep my nicer accessories on if I chose to wear them and don't bring my "casual" watch for example.
