(I read the other posts about this, but since the last one was from 2008, I wanted to get some fresh opinions--hope that's cool!)
I got mono in high school and it completely drained me to the point that I was barely able to finish my required classes and graduate. My doctor had told me that since I'd had it, it would be easier for me to contract in the future.
Aaaaand, 6 weeks ago, I noticed that my appetite nearly disappeared and i was super tired all the time. At first I thought it was just me getting re-acclimated to Denver's altitude or something. I wanted to ignore it even though I would wake up from 9 hours sleep still feeling absolutely exhausted. I forced myself to go about my routine, working out, running, working at the club... and last week I finally pieced it together that I might have mono again.I'm a little concerned because my belly feels swollen (and not in a bloated/PMS way) and I've been drinking a fair amount lately. (And I know alcohol is a horrible combination with an already inflamed liver.)
Has anyone else had mono? What was your experience (ie how long did symptoms last, how did you change your routine to get better, etc)? Any remedies or anything you'd recommend?
