Anything's possible.. interesting article

It wouldn't be possible here, and I don't see how it would be approved and organized but apparently it has happened. I did some Googling and found a video with strippers dancing in front of prisoners in El Salvador.
This article is really interesting, too: apparently there is a prison in Venezuela with swimming pools, restaurants, and guest rooms for overnight visitors.

Pretty sure exotic fun defeats the purpose of prison, but hey, what do I know?

I guess it depends on your views of what prison should be- in most of the world it's seen as a place that should be punitive or rehabilitative. Maybe if your goal is just keeping inmates out of regular society it doesn't matter so much.
Also they are probably are way less likely to riot and kill staff/each other if it's not totally awful and they have activities other than just planning riots and making shanks out of toothbrushes and stuff.

But why would a dancer work it?
Same customers (mostly) + Limited Cash (should be, unless corruption) + Multiple shows / week or whatever. / number of girls = not a growing business model for the dancers
right?

^^I'm guessing the cash might not be as limited as perhaps we would assume. In reality Venezuela is a mess right now. If this is still going on the, uh, gentlemen being detained might have access to people with hard currency.
Where Am I? Missing NYC

Drug dealers running their business from prison, perhaps. Strange things happen south of the border.

Pokey! There's lots of Snakes there, probably!

Barbeque Snakes?

Didn't read the article but if they were Narcos in prison it's def. possible. Escobar had prostitutes at the jail he built for himself all the time and escorting in South America does not have the stigma it does in the US and other parts of the World. I will come back and comment further when I have the time to read the article and do a little research.

If I lived there I would probably give it a shot. Those guys are probably lonely and loaded.

IME "strip clubs" in South America are not like in the US and Canada how I assume they are in Europe and Australia. I went to one in Colombia and it was really a brothel, there were dancers out on the floor but when a customer wanted to "go private" they were going to fuck. Also, they actually danced with the customers, not give lap dances. Kind of like "companion clubs" that we have here.
