I like being alone, I just don't like being lonely.

Oh, is that what it is..
I got an email about it but didn't read it, assumed it's some hyped up thing like Prime.

People are idiots.
Cool if you have theiving ass neighbors......or too lazy to open the front door.
However if one had this theyd need to know exact time the delivery is unlocking the door (not just a delivery time frame "window") It would suck to be in the shower or something and hear someone jostling your door handle - thinking its an intruder attempting to murk you - Psycho style.
doesn't seem any different than living in an apartment and allowing maintenance enter your place to fix stuff while you're not home..... which i also think is stupid but it's not that unusual. fuck that though, who knows who these people are?
at my last place maintenance had access to my unit and i hated it. i told them to always call me and never enter if i'm not home but they kept doing it anyways without my permission! fast forward to after i've moved away and the creepy maintenance guy who always seemed to be riding by my unit? he FOUND ME ON FB. and i never told him my name, ever. i'm lucky he never tried to hurt me or anything.
so sorry to ramble but yes, people are stupid. why would you want a random person alone in your place if it's not absolutely necessary? i don't care who they work for, there are plenty of psycho freaks who slip through the cracks and end up working for reputable companies like amazon. and some of those freaks will risk their jobs to do weird creepy shit especially if they know you're a girl. if they go in alone they can find ways to get in again, steal your stuff, smell your panties, who the fuck knows smh

The delivery person is still a stranger, all those keys with the addresses can be sold off, stolen & used to rob people. Any business wanting a key to your home & the responsibility to prevent rape, theft & such is just asking for lots & lots of lawsuits.
They have lockers & punching in a code to pick up packages 24/7 is a way better idea.
I've been stalked by an UPS guy before and the current crew in Miami used to fight over who delivered my SM check & packages. Now all of them are polite but still, having a key to a porn stars home....

Pokey!

The electronic lock which is required will only open the door for a courier with a delivery, so they don't have a key with an address to sell.

Is your FB name your real name or similar? If so that's how he found you. He's a complete creep who doesn't respect boundaries but maintenance workers in most cases have access to your name. The last apartment I rented they had a network where all employees could log in and leave internal notes on your account. For things like: disturbances filed for or against, bug guy refused, leaky toilet, etc. Even my id numbers were accessible. I didn't like it at all but I don't think most people realize this info is accessible to all staff members. If I ever had to rent a place these are the sort of questions I'd ask beforehand. You wanna know who I am? Well I'm gonna get some intel on you too dammit.
To answer your original question - YES people are idiots .... regardless of whether or not they have amazon key
i've since changed my facebook name to something other than my real name with a cartoon as my profile pic but yeah at the time it was my real pic and info. i always kinda knew that the employees at an apt complex have access to your info and spare keys i just didn't think much of it before that
he always seemed to be around my car port trying to wave at me and say "hi" which i always shut down, and i assume he was keeping tabs on me because it was about a month after i moved out when he tried to add me as a friend. i'm guessing he was wondering where i went?? yikes

My dog isn't going to like this.
Nor will my territorial cat.

There’s no shortage of creepy maintenance guys. I like going to the store to buy things. Gives me something to do.
