Default Acorns App for Saving and Investing

Hey all! I searched the forums for this topic but haven't seen it yet, so I hope I'm not duplicating an old thread.

So I'm not going to link a referral code on here because it would disclose all of my personal information and details, but I really think this is a great option for any of us sex workers who want to save but might have trouble for various reasons. It might be a good option for those of us on the lower income spectrum, especially if we have trouble opening a checking or savings account due to our affiliation with the adult industry. It's an investing app, but can also be used to save spare change you don't necessarily recognize you have, so it can also be used as a savings account that is linked to a prepaid Visa/Mastercard. There's a lot to offer in terms of investing in stocks, and even companies such as AirBnB, Groupon, Hotel Tonight, Uber, Forever 21, Express, and quite a few surprising companies who will "give back" small amounts of money when you use their services. You can withdraw monies you've saved using the app, or you can invest into recommended stocks and bonds, but I haven't done that yet since I'm just getting into investing.

The app does charge $1 per month, so $12 a year for a savings account that links to a credit or debit card, which I assume also means prepaid cards. It rounds up each purchase on my card to the nearest dollar amount, or even a full dollar, so it builds up a savings without really being aware. This probably would have saved me a ton of stress if I'd have known about it when I was still using prepaid cards before I finally caved and got an FCC bank account.

Has it started allowing prepaid cards? It wouldn't let me use a prepaid card for it before. But I do really like the app, its very easy to use.

I thought it did! I have to see if it will link my old prepaid card, because I was going to use it for that myself, instead of my bank account now. I wasn't 100% sure if it accepted prepaid cards, but I could have sworn I read in its policy that it did! I'm sorry if this wasn't really a helpful reply. I just got super excited about it because it's been helpful for me due to its easy usage!
