In retrospect, I think I might have met a few fancy peeps.
I'd hang out and occasionally work at a club on Sunset Blvd which was a prime hot-spot for celeb. I remember my first week in WeHo, I met this Australian dude trying to break into the music industry in LA and he took me to the Rainbow Room and we hung out with certain ppl who were in this one movie once upon a time.
There were also a couple of customers who'd given me their number at one joint where I used to work (number exchanges were common at this one place) and one quick number search via a special program brought up all their details. Though I didn't maintain contact with these guys, it was cool to know I met fancy mr-fancy-pants-so-and-so and he paid me $$$ for dances at so-and-so club in WeHo. :-)
I might have met a few celebs at Sapphire. There was a group of young actors that came in once on a Sunday and to me, they blatantly stood out in the midst of a full crowd in a way that "stars" do stand out, which make them conspicuous and memorable. They were nice. The guy with long hair who I was flirting with was nice but wasn't into me; however, his friend came up to my stage and tipped me. There were also a few other guys I spoke to that insinuated they might be famous but they were so sleazy and entitled about it that I just could care less, apart from that one time when I played with and kept feeling up what must have been twelve-pack abs of the guy who kept saying, "Do you know who I am?" He said he came from a poor background and that he has a place in NYC and a place in Calabasas and that is all I know. He seemed a bit too into himself for me to stay impressed.
Admittedly, a lot of times, I don't know when I meet someone who are well-known because I don't watch television at all. I listen to a lot of music of all genres but I don't pay much attention to the artists, news of their personal lives, etc. So I'd probably not know when I meet someone famous. I treat all customers like they treat me.
