Default Could this be considered rude?

In strip club in Germany, where my ATF of two years used to work, drinking and talking to new girl, she might want me to become her regular.

    Her: I really like you.
Me: (said in a joking way, not a nasty way) You like my wallet, my money makes you really horny.
Her: (possibly slightly uncomfortable) Oh, stop.

Could that be considered poor etiquette?

Why would you even say that? Obviously she only/mostly likes you for your wallet. She's at work and she's there to make money. Bringing it up so bluntly when she's trying to keep up the fantasy that you're paying her for is just awkward. She didn't want to lie to you but you put her in a really uncomfortable position where all she could do is try to deflect your comment. Don't be weird -- enjoy the club for what it is.

^agree. Guys say it all the time. I just walk away in mid sentence sometimes. That’s like going to Starbucks and being like,”you are only being nice to me because I’m a customer.” Of course! More than anything it’s a guy trying to remind himself he’s only there to have fun. It just kills the vibe. You’d be surprised how many guys I actually like
And am honest with, but if they act like that I ask for a dance and leave.

Sure. I was a bit drunk and I regretted it afterwards. It was really only meant as a joke. I hear what you're saying.

I'd think great, let me help you empty that wallet with about 20 dances.

If you go there, it means you are ready to empty your wallet for her and she knows that too. If she really likes you, she will be more keen to try to make you her regular. In that sens she was probably sincere.

Of course she only wants your money, but what do you care? Would you insist that your therapist genuinely likes you as a friend? Would you demand that your waitress serves you food because she genuinely likes you, as opposed to wanting a tip? Don't make it awkward. She's at work and you're there to enjoy yourself, no point stepping outside of character for either one of us.

Of course strippers like your money! They are there to make money! Do you go to restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores and do the same? Cash is king. Everybody who is working at a job is there to make money! Do you work for free? You just make it awkward bringing it up like that.

If done right it can be OK to get across. I have frequented clubs for many years and know the drill. We pay you for the fantasy of being the only guy that matters until we pay you. After one session with a dancer she appreciated the fact I didn’t take the scene seriously. I said I know how it works but I am a willing participant. She laughed and said she appreciates I understand the game. Of course I know her well enough to make that comment. Another dancer would take it about as well as a fart in church.

    In strip club in Germany.....

Her: You really like my sexy body, don't you?
Me: (said in a joking way, not a nasty way) I like your eyes and your intellect.
Her: (possibly slightly uncomfortable) Oh, stop.

I just like how he put it in the form of a small play; now we need to make it an opera

    Der Stündelhausstrippischemäkespiel

    Ihr - Frida Münchhausen, Soprano
    Mich - Gunter Frick, Heldentenor

    Im Stripclub in Deutschland....

Aria, "Du magst wirklich meinen sexy Körper, nicht wahr?" Soprano
Aria, "Du magst meine Brieftasche, mein Geld macht dich richtig geil." Heldentenor

Chorus, "Oy Vey, it's a job!"

^ Ha, Bahuba even though I can't speak a word of German that is hilarious, picturing this ridiculousness made into an opera. Dear Lord!

How are you anything but annoying? Of course dancers like money. Why else would she be there? Dancers are there to work not because they are bored and wanna shoot the shit for free. Dancers have to PAY to be at the club FYI.
