    Uber is planning to bring flying taxi service to Los Angeles, aiming to get demo flights up and running by 2020. Uber says its goal is to have a flying taxi service up and running in Los Angeles before the 2028 Olympics.

    hah someone told me they saw an "uber helicopter" during a big racing event recently.. I wonder if this is what they meant. or are uber helicopters a thing too lol

    That would be awesome. I can't imagine it being affordable for the average person though. I'd imagine aircraft fuel to be significantly more costly.

Rather than offering the service as a luxury product (trips to Coachella Valley from Los Angeles cost passengers $4,170 each way), Uber envisions UberAir as a commuter option, with fares comparable to taking an UberX car ride.

    The aircraft are supposed to be electric.
