    Lightbulb Social media and branding

How many of you treat social media as a scheduled part of your working day? Those of you that consider it a major part of your cam business success, how 'open' are you in terms of face pics/showing your true personality etc. Do you feel you've effectively 'branded' yourself? I'm intrigued to know how you approach social media as a whole. Completely understand if you'd rather not post this publicly, you can message me instead x

*Edit: Just realised i didn't check 'allow multiple choice' grr. Just post here instead if you want to as I keep messing up trying to post a poll ha.

I use it but to be honest I've seen no success with it with the exception of an occasional regular using dm's to see if I'm available. At this point it's just mostly for chatting with other ladies.
Tumblr is more fun than Twitter but equally useless lol.
Yes I show my face and regular things that reflect me as a person.

Social media can be useful for marketing and promotion but only if you go viral, or eventually build up a huge following with real followers so that you can become a influencer and sell ad space.

Yes, I would like to say that social media has help both my camming and phone sex brands. Personally, I would say that social media helped my phone sex, clips, and texting business more than it helped my camming. In addition, a lot of my camming clientele come from either Instagram or Twitter. I have an small following as cam model but I have been getting sissies, fin subs, and cuckolds off instagram. However, I do not promote all of my cam sites on my social media accounts. I found that promoting a few sites such on Twitter work better for me. I do not promote places such as Visit-X because they have an great amount of traffic on there. I will start using Twitter for places such as CamModelStore and CamContacts because I need a boost of new clientele there. I use instagram to promote more indy places. Also, I do not use tumblr for my camming but it works wonders for phone sex.

I use social media all the time and I get a lot of paying clients from it. The big promoters retweet my information and they send me a lot of traffic. I also post pics and the occasional video as well for more promotion.

I don’t use social Media. I probably lose out on Money, but I value my privacy outside of the club. I value plausible deniability. I’m impressed with people who use social media, but it just stresses me out. I’m a loner though. I never made more money. People just felt like they could waste my time and ask me out on dates.

This is fascinating, seeing how you've worked out which sites work best for each of your services. Have you put the same effort into your twitter and your insta?

    SexySusie,
That is an great question. I would say that I put that same efforts into both Twitter and Instagram. I would also have to say that I do different types of branding as well for each of my social media accounts.

It's become social media, having a self hosted, and using tube sites. then also making sure my free ones profile and similar sites having my current social media.

And any cam site that list my social media making sure they have my current one. but I am balancing my brand into two major online niches for the online market. which means putting myself out there in more places to be seen.

it's becoming you need an omni presence online to get the fans, buyers, and people who see me as an influencer.

Some might be able to handle that level of exposure. but to stay relevant in a space where now camming is become a "norm" it's means staying out there longer in more places. and building an audience in more then one platform.

Less and less people are seeing camming as something taboo and more and more people are telling they are doing webcam. I've noticed that in the last few weeks of marketing on social media platforms.

It could be that I am staying in the internet marketing , personal brand, online influencer category where people just see a cam model as someone who is able to make content online and build audience with also selling to an audience which seems to be what a lot of people are looking to do these days when you look at entrepreneurs who want to grow their businesses online.

So its becoming more important to niche down your business, your persona of being more yourself. and then also making sure you a top authority in whatever passion, hobby interest you have.

I really hated that when I looked at my own twitter feed it felt like a fake account because almost everything was alerting followers that I had logged on or off a site, most of what people saw were were autotweets. I turned off all my autotweets and spent the last month focusing on using twitter more organically, and every twitter stat has gone up except number of tweets. Who knows if that means more money, but it does mean a more engaged audience -my engagement rate is also up 1.2%. I would rather my audience know I am a human and have my account not look like fake sexbot femmebot. Just thought I would share my experiment. I would like to schedule tweets periodically so maybe once per day a platform I work gets plugged and see how that works. That will be step 2 of my experiment - scheduling tweets that I came up with in my own brain that plug my own stuff once per day so its just a flow within my organic tweets.

Ugh well it's extremely slow going getting back on twitter. I used to have 20k followers before i deleted. Up to 79 on my new account in 3 days.... pah. I like the idea of turning off auto tweets.

I just get frustrated when I am looking at somebodies account to try and get a sense of who they are and all I see is that they log on and off niteflirt and retweet every other PSO who logged on and off niteflirt. I wanted to not be that type of account anymore.
