Currently tattooless. I want to get 3 or 4. Reasonably sized too, at least the planned ones on my arm and hip. Just wondering how you have been affected, I know it can restrict certain clubs from accepting you and some customers will not like them

I think it depends on your area of the world and style of club. I have 2 small ones and NEVER had a problem at any club. I have a friend who is pretty heavily tattooed as well and she couldn't do high end clubs in NYC but this is going back a few years and also she has tatts on her breast plate, neck, ears, fingers and face... so....

If you want to dance in high end clubs I strongly recommend that you hold off or limit your tattoos. They will hold you back.
This is coming from a veteran who has everything but her asshole tatted.

^^^ very true. Two out of the three high-end clubs in my city rejected me because of my tattoos (and I only had one big one at the time). I do feel tattoos limited my money-making ability to an extent. But if you really want tattoos, go ahead and get them. You can find other, ink-friendly places to dance. Just get ready for a barrage of dumb questions and observations from customers.

I have half a dozen and they've never been an issue ITC. 3 small discreet ones, 3 fairly large ones in obvious places. Customers don't even notice half the time and even make comments like "I'm so glad you don't have a bunch of tattoos"![]()
The only issue I ran into is the one club here who are snotty as hell. They refused to hire me, I know it was because of my tats... The owner is an archaic moron that only hires blondes with implants though, so they may have found some other reason if I was ink free.
"People jack off with the left hand and point with the right."
"You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave."
There's a high end club near me that doesn't allow any tattoos.
But there's makeup products designed to cover tattoos, you can find that shit at Walgreens.

Would you believe me if I said I do it because I like it?
I have no tattoo. As an escort I can tell you no visible tatto is better for business.
I like being alone, I just don't like being lonely.
you'll get skewed responses with the question you posed, because most of us only hear compliments about our lack of tattoos or about having tattoos, due to it being a self - selecting clientele base.
My experience lends me to think that in general, not having tattoos is a positive. It's something that sticks out and draws more high - spending customers to your brand (boring older white dudes often prefer tattoo -less bodies).
I think occasionally you'll find a whale who will spend on good ink, and i think you can sort of 'overcome' having tattoos by having a great face, body, moving well on stage, carrying yourself in a classy manner, projecting a positive, upbeat personality, etc. But *in general*, if you're going to bet on what will make you more money, i think not having any tattoos or only having a few small ones is ideal.
I also think many dancers with personally meaningful tattoos struggle with having to deal with people's stupid comments and questions about them at work. It's easier to maintain your persona when you don't carry around such blatant personal identifiers... especially ones that are so meaningful to you.
Just my opinion based on my experience, of course. It's important to be able to live your life somewhat normally in this line of work. But if you can stand the idea of waiting to get them for a few years and maximizing your income during that time, that's what I'd do!

I have 6 and I got all but one before I started dancing. I wish I had less because I feel like it holds me back at the high end clubs a bit. That, or you have to explain what they are/what they “mean” over and over again each night.
Some girls work the “tattoo Barbie” look really well. But Ive has guys turn me down specifically for my tattoos

First of all there are a LOT of bad tattoos out there. A bad boob job would hurt you too. Altering your body can affect your earning potential both positively & negatively no matter what it is being done to it.
Some tats I've seen are pieces of art. How to explain this in a proper way, when a person has several or many each one being a different style or thing and mismatching it just seems off. Many of my friends now in their 50s have a cartoon on their ankles, tweety bird or mickey mouse seemed cute in their 20s, in their 50s not so much. Do know many who were going for jobs at $100,000 to $250,000 salaries be turned down for them because of cartoon tats. Because the other people up for the same job didn't have them. Now, these former strippers never imagined later on in life that such jobs were possible.
Tats of men's names on your body............ ALWAYS a mistake. The tat to cover it rarely works out for the best. Why would anyone get their boyfriends name at 25 tatted on their tits, big & bold. Why did you need to permanently put his name big & bold in order to feel committed to him? We are NOT cattle to be branded to show ownership.
Seen way too many tats spelled incorrectly. A friend of mine had PERVERT written across her tit. Oh,it was horrible, she was drunk, the tattoo artist was drunk. I got there & he had spelled it PREVET. How many people will hire you for a job if your tats aren't even spelled correctly?
Tats are a form of fashion. Now, styles go in & out of fashion. What I wore in my twenties is not how I dress now. When I look back at pictures of how I did my hair in my twenties it just looks like a hot mess, but back then I thought it was just hot.
You are going to grow & evolve as a person. I am not against tats, despite not having any. Just put more thought into what you do get inked upon your body & how you will mature as time goes by. An octopus with your asshole as the mouth and it covering your ass and down your thighs might seem sexy now. In ten years from now, when you are at the beach with your kids..............
There are people who live a life time of being covered in ink without a single regret. There plenty who have plenty of regrets & lost out on jobs because of it once they moved on from the sex industry.

I do wonder why so many say they get tats to be more of an individual when they get a tat just like everyone else has.
Pretty much determine what decades which tats were in fashion. Early 80s cartoon characters on the ankles. Later 80s to early 90s arm bands especially tribal arm bands. I also remember a few years when girls got flowers around the ankles. In the 70s a rose tattoo. Then there is the tramp stamp. Prison tats.
Ying & Yang, Chinese proverbs when you don't read the language & they could have put idiot in chinese on you. I do know one porn star who thought she was getting peace & love tatted on her, but instead they put stupid whore or something like it. She found out when staying in a house with others who did porn. Of which one could read Chinese, he was a rapist & known to beat women. The way he told her very much was threatening. She had it verified by a 3rd party of what he stated was true.
Then the peace symbol seems to be a requirement along with koy fish, crosses, naked women. How many strippers have angel wings on their back?
Honestly, I rarely see tats that are original & unique. Everyone seems to be copying everyone else, which is counter productive to being unique. I can appreciate tats as artwork when they are truly unique, interesting & done well.
If you are going to wear something for the rest of your life, it should be well thought out. I change outfits two to three times a day, how in the world to pick out something to wear for the rest of my life. EXCEPT for diamonds, gladly wear them every day all day. ")

That's why I invested in a boob job and a personal trainer. You can't be fat, heavily tattooed and a minority and expect to make it in any clubs but shitholes. I learned that lesson a long time ago. I don't regret my tattoos and I'm gonna keep getting more. It's my decision and I accept it for better or worse. And not to toot my own horn but in my mid 30's ( having been in this forum now nearly a decade)
I look way better than the chubby little cokehead with the saggy pancake tits that first posted.
Here in Philly I'm probably good for maybe 85% of clubs.

We are in a career that is mostly based upon our looks.
You are always going to be evolving & mixing up your hustle. We have to balance being ourselves & what the customer wants to spend money on.
Please research the person who is inking you and their abilities with the type of tattoo you want. Research & see what other artistic endeavors they have ventured into for history of quality & creativity. See how they progress & improve over a few years, even the best are always trying to get better.
If you get them now you will always wonder. What is the big deal if you put it off for a few years? You still have the rest of your life to get inked.
How many opportunities are you going to miss out on if you don't get inked? Compared if you do.
You can have those items printed up as art work, hang it on the walls in your residence. See how you like them over a period of time like 2 years. Will they still hold the appeal & inspiration that you have for them right now. See what questions others who see them ask with them as art work in your home.
Have them printed onto a t-shirt and wear it often. In a year from now will it still hold meaning for you or not.
Just about everyone has tattoos these days. Especially in the porn industry, every bbw in the porn biz has tattoos. I stand out because I don't. And if I were to get one, it would be a racing stripe that starts from my toes up one side of my body and back down again to the bottom of my heal. Just like a camero. Because I've never seen anyone with one like it & it cracks me the fuck up. Want it to be bold & a major statement piece like I do my real jewelry.

No tats for me. I thought the absence made me stand out when I danced. Also, a conversation topic. I could just ask a custy if he thought I should get a tat, or not, and where. I tried some henna art a few times a few guys were negative about it, some positive. Never enough positives though to convince me to spend any money on permanent tats.
Fast forward to the present, and tats are a major neggie in the business world. Not saying there aren't people in business with them, there certainly are. But, the negative definitely outweighs the positive. Especially for women. BF and I have discussed tats a few times, he thinks they are hot, but not hot enough to push me to get one. He does like my occasional henna art, especially arm bands, ankle bands, foot designs and hand designs. Had one of my friends do this really sexy henna design on my right tit last summer. I was laying out topless at our pool when BF came home. He couldn't keep his hands off me! Still, can't bring myself to make it permanent. ;-)

if I could get all my tatts removed I would lol I regret them so much. and it doesn't help that I get asked stupid fucking questions every night about them and I want to literally scream every time.
The worst thing about having a tattoo while dancing is having to explain it to every dude who spends $20. "what's that?" a TATTOO. They get so annoyed with me LMAO.
No but other than the tattoos I go as stereotypically stripper as possible with my look. I feel like the certain look that usually goes along with the tattoos is what kills the earning potential more than the tats themselves. I only have a few though, but they are a pretty good size.

So glad I never cared to get ink, although i do love looking at good work on other ppl.

I don't think they affected money but what I do notice is my large tattoo is an easy icebreaker, guys tend to bring it up constantly, I answer a few questions about it, we go for dances.
Otoh I end up basically repeating the same 5 answers about my tattoo all shift. Although the rest of my sale is usually just canned lines anyways so not sure if that's really different.
