Default Becoming a dancer at 20

Hello ladies I’m interested in becoming a dancer I am 20 years old brown skin 5’8 and really thick and curvy I’ve been researching for about two weeks now I am from Harrisburg PA I will be auditioning in Philadelphia PA at club Onyx. Club Onyx is two hours away from me I honestly just want to be prepared so I get the job I know how to dance very well to slow songs and fast songs the only new thing will be dancing in front of strangers I’m very shy when it comes to talking to people also antisocial but I know I’ve had step out of my shell to make money. I’ve ordered a pair of dance heels and a bodysuit I don’t want to spend a lot of money because I’m not sure if I’ll get the job or not I’m hoping I do because I need the money really bad and if I do get hired and they let me stay in dance is there anything that I should bring with me. I do hair and make up so before my audition I was going to do that so I can be ready I was also going to bring all of my make up with me and all my hair products is there anything else I should bring and should I have a certain amount of money I’ve read that you have to pay a tip out fee? I’ve also read when you’re from out of town they make you pay more. Any information any of you ladies can give me would be helpful I procrastinated for the longest about dancing but now honestly have to I’ve never had a problem with it but I didn’t think I would be doing it now but I need the money to pay my bills please let me know ladies ☺️

Leave half that stuff at home.

You only need a dress, high heels & thongs to dance. Face powder and lipstick to reapply as the night goes on. Bring all that other stuff and you will end up spending half the night in the dressing room primping instead of out on the floor making money.

Most clubs will skip tip out fees for the first night if you don't make money.

Body suit is difficult to get in and out of, sexy dress isn't. Try on what you have & how easy it is to get in & out of in under 30 seconds.

Read some tips about sales on the internet or books from the library on it.

Keep it simple & stop over thinking everything. They are just horny men, they aren't that complicated.

Yup, plus other dancers can be thieves, and you don't want to bring expensive makeup to the club with you. Some clubs provide lockers, but I've worked in some that don't. I brought a lock to put on my suitcase, but someone could still break into it if they were really determined to. Don't bring anything valuable to the club-just the necessities and what you need for a quick makeup and hair touch-up.
