What do you ladies write about if you have blogs? And if you have multiple blogs for multiple personas etc, how so you keep coming up with enough ideas? I'm just fixing myself up a website again and I'm going to blog, mainly for SEO and also for Affiliate stuff. But I'm already worried about generating enough ideas. I can think of around 20 topics I want to write about. Also I'm thinking of setting up a seperate (free site) blog just for my niteflirt, so how can I come up with ideas for that? If I manage to write a decent post I'd want to use it on both blogs. Sorry for such a seemingly noob question. Love to get your input

IF you are going to blog and make money from blogging, I am firm believer in investing in a self hosted blog.

I had it happen I thought I Would get a free blog, and they shut me down because I had affiliate links.

Depending on your topic there are is content every where. its a matter of putting your personality and spin on the topic.

You basically need to build a content bank and be completely absorbed into your topic. attend events, read other blogs, read books, and be in forums and other communities around the topic.

I am launching a few blogs for 2018 and my youtube channel. and it's really about making sure you are ready and able to make content or set a schedule where you create content.

Your one of millions getting up there billions of blogs out there in virtually any topic under the sun and moon out there. so what makes you and your subject, your experience and personality different on it.

You need to put you and all your passion and energy in it to build an audience, grow an audience, engage and with affiliate links and other offers sell to them.

I'm starting one just to bring traffic into my camming, along with starting social media again. Don't want to go self hosted as I already run a couple of non adult websites and can't afford more hosting. I'm going with wix (but keeping it clean obviously!). When you say put your own spin on it do you mean basically talk about what others are talking about, but in my own way? I can see how thaT could work, thanks

I blogged for a living until 2011, then got so sick of it I didn't write another post until Boleyn blog came along LOL Things are quite different now than they used to be then, because I didn't have to optimise my writing for mobile browsers and social media attention spans, but a lot of my knowledge is still applicable. I don't want to go on a massive rant about random blogging trivia, but shoot me PM if you have any specific questions, Susie, always happy to help.

Specifically for SEO, check out this series of posts, they'll explain how things are different if you're running a sex blog, rather than any old normal blog:

ETA: For coming up with ideas, do a mind map with clusters of topics you're interested in. Keep branching off until the ideas are so specific that you could cover them in 500-700 words - those are your post topics. Hope that makes sense!

Glad you asked this Susie, I have just purchased a domain and saving for hosting. About $7per month if paid 18months at a time. I want to start getting some blog ideas down so this is very helpful.

Loving the mind map idea! I guess it's all about planning things out in advance and having a strategy. I will definitely message you in a bit if you don't mind x

Also, check out resources by CoSchedule. They publish the most in-depth content marketing guides you'll find anywhere, and they publish them for free, because, rather than trying to sell you marketing lessons like 90% hacks out there, they're giving away the lessons to sell you their scheduling software.

Quite a lot of it is for teams, and obviously none of it is for adult topics, but they're still very, very helpful.

    Example:

You can use self-host and use wordpress on a .com but not wordpress.org (the free one), if that makes sense.

Ok. I thought .org was the better one for self hosting. So much conflicting info. Are there any other blogging platforms that I can usr when self hosting ? It's mainly for linking my content up and driving traffic.

.org wordpress. is where you install a script from example of host gator, host gator is adult friendly. but you still do not want to clutter it with a bunch of explict pictures.

    https://www.makemoneyadultcontent.com/

He has a bunch of topics on making money with adult content, choosing adult hosting company, and a bunch of ways to make money in adult. There are somethings about him that rub me the wrong way, but right now his blog is ranking hard in authority for the subject.

    http://adultindustryguide.com/hosting/

Again top niche authority blog talking on the same subject matter of make money adult content. as well. he also has another blog talking about how to make money with adult affiliate programs.

These are SELF HOSTED, blogs with an adult friendly company, that are understanding to talk about adult subjects they need to put the money into.

Wix is weird isn't doesn't SEO properly like wordpress does.

@sexysusie Yup There aren't really and NEW ideas out there for the BIG niche topics. The way people are standing out is by creating what they call blue oceans. by micro-niche and adding your personality along with the content.

and then making blogs multi-media. They are starting to call them epic blog post. or pillar blog post. You don't have to go that deep into the blogging, but that is the direction blogging is going these days.

I have many blogs on the go in adult, non-adult, and because I know blogging for my income streams is a long haul game, it makes to make the investment in them as they will bring in residual income. they will put me ina position of being authority. and also get me more exposure and more platforms asking for my opinion on things.

I am getting more interviews for podcast in cross-over from adult to non-adult a lot lately since summer where I attend an internet marketing conference.

So its a matter of your game plan for the blog, to make it a stable income , lead generation plat. or some where online that has your thoughts that might share with friends and family.

Now that you have a hosting account there should be blogging applications on your dashboard ready to install. To be clear Word Press is a source code or an app that's one of the easiest to install. You don't need to visit wordpress.org at all to be honest. Unless you're looking for a particular plugin or theme. But now that the Wordpress app is so sophisticated, once it's installed in your hosting plan you can access plugins and themes directly from the app.

Wordpress.com is where you go when you don't have a hosting plan or a purchased domain name.

This is the setup page https://wordpress.com/start/survey?ref=homepage if you go with a free blogging platform without a purchased domain name this is how your address will appear: yourname.wordpress.com, yourname.tumbler.com, yourname.blogspot.com instead of yourname.com. But it is possible to purchase a domain name and have it assigned to a free platform. However I don't recommend people doing that for your primary blog.

There are other blogging applications that you can use besides Wordpress for a selfhosted blog: Drupal and Joomla are the two main alternatives but both require a higher skillset. Newbies should stick to wordpress.

Whoops, I reversed them. YES, .org is the one you want for self-hosting. Also, I really like this site for learning about WP, if you're interested.

And this guy has great info about driving traffic to your blog.

Think there is some great ideas on here. Look at vanilla as well as adult related content and find other peoples blogs that you enjoy reading and go from there. Magazines is another way of getting ideas. Just my 2 pence
