    Default Traveling dancer

Random question.... so I’m a traveling dancer solely and recently have been wondering, do smaller clubs not really like traveling dancers?? Ie traveling dancers that come in and make money without help me then leave lol?? I got fired from one club in Chicago for giving “too dirty an air dance” lol then tonight I got yelled at for not taking my top off (in philly) on stage and threatened to get fired. Lol like sorry I can make money fully clothed 😝 are some states not fond of us travelers or have I got so comfortable in doing what I want I need to bite my tongue and just do it?? Lol

    thanks loviessss😘😘😘

No, most clubs love having new faces because customers love to see new girls.

It doesn't really matter if you "make money fully clothed". Nude club i am visiting rn just fired a girl a couple days ago (a local girl) for refusing to take her bottoms off on stage.

Just do what is expected at each club for your visit and if you hate their rules or whatever dont go back

Some clubs don't like it so much because it irritates their house-girls they've had forever, then when they need girls during slow season, you're not there and their normal house-girls may have gone elsewhere because they got sick of traveling girls taking all their money. If you can don't advertise you're only there for a week or whatever, maybe say you're thinking of moving to the area.

is Chicago okay with traveling dancers in general? I have read some areas are not, like San Francisco.

if you're traveling you can't just do whatever you want.. doesn't matter if their rules are dumb or you can make money clothed. especially if you wanna do your own thing as opposed to working with staff and giving them a cut you have to be extra cautious about following rules, flying under the radar and not pissing people off which can be easy to do because the house girls get annoyed with traveling girls. i've met a lot who give me attitude for no other reason than i'm an "agency girl". even if you see some girls are breaking the rules doesn't mean you can. they're gonna be way less likely to fire a girl who's been there for 1 year than some random new girl just passing through.

especially at a small club.. don't do that. small clubs are high drama and all eyes on you.

Ya I understand that why she would get fired. But like literally there was no one in the club besides the dancers and I was like fuck this I don’t work for free lol and stayed clothed on stage. (Just topless club) but other house girls can get away with it lol. Whatever I’m just bitter because he was like “that was the worst performance I’ve ever seen.” I’m like.. there’s literally no one here lol l ended up just doing what they want because I really want to go back and don’t want to burn bridges.

I tried pink monkey (def not traveler friendly.. the bouncer at the front and the front desk girl were absolute dicks.), admiral(love love love, so easy to make money and bank but the management is so fucked up and girls will get you fired if they don’t like you. ThAts what happened to me.. giving “dirty air dances” I don’t even know what that means because my two feet are one the ground and I’m not touching you just dancing in front of you. A few girls complained about me because I would just come in and stay for 3 hours and leave. When they had to stay 6+ hours. But the girls are stupid they don’t hustle there. It’s so easy to go in and hustle hard and leave. Guys come immediately to spend because you can’t drink there. I def would recommend this club if you’re a hustler), then I tried scores. I wish I would have spent more time here because there was good potiential I just liked working at admiral because I could come and go whenever I want. I wish I would have tried polekatz because I kept hearing good things. I would just say you live there or just moved. I learned that early in my traveling career and just always say I just moved there.

I didn’t mean “do whatever I want” .. I mean I’m just used to always I guess, ya I do mean do what I want. Because I am independent contractor and if there is no one in the club I shouldn’t have to take my top off on stage. Lol I never give anyone a cut unless they ACTUALLY help me lol. Not like by suggesting “oh hey they might have money” .. well everyone might have money lol. I generally fly fully under the radar until the manager saw me not take my top off. I guess that’s a thing at that club though because unless you were one of the regular “favorites” you had to always take it off. I’m used to not if no one is there and I’ve worked at over 30+clubs. But oh well... small clubs aren’t really my thing. I’m on my way back to Vegas so I know my comfort zone there. Thanks for the reply and safe travels

no i totally get what you mean, most clubs are cool with traveling you just have to REALLY follow every single rule and hardcore keep to yourself cuz they will be watching you and the house girls will basically have it out for you right off the bat so if you do the slightest thing wrong they will complain and try to get you fired. which they can sometimes do very easily if the manager likes them. i'm not at all surprised they complained about you leaving early or anything else, they are understandably bitter. IMO we should all be able to do whatever we want and ignore what other girls are doing but it doesn't always work like that.

i do tons of shit at my home clubs that i would never do when i travel.. like breaking rules and sometimes getting drunk in VIP or not tipping out when it's slow. when i travel i never get wasted even if i'm doing champagne rooms, i make sure i always tip out even if i barely made anything, always on time to stage, no letting guys touch for extra $ if it's against the rules, not leaving early etc.

I don't find that to be true of the Broadway clubs in SF. I see them hire travelers all the time, right now in particular.

I was fired before when I left a high contact state and went to a lower contact one. It was really embarrassing at the time but I think it's funny now that this place considered me a " dirty " dancer when really it was just contact dancing.

I figured Sam Francisco has to be traveler friendly seeing as the cost of living makes stripping a hard gig for locals to keep.

Honestly some managers are cowards & weirdos. In my experience clubs that bar travelers don't like the lack of guarantee of labor, it sucks because legally dancers are not employees but the club tries to treat us as such

I just started traveling and I'll admit, I didn't realize club managers were going to be so hesitant to hire me when I explained I wasn't going to be in town very long. I like your suggestion of saying that I'm moving to the area rather than I'm traveling and only want to work a shift or two. The only problem is, I don't want to lie and then burn bridges in all these clubs I'm visiting. What if I want to come back through these cities and work at these clubs again? Any suggestions?

in the past i've said that i'm visiting family and thinking about moving, or that i have family/friends there and visit somewhat often so i want a club to work at when i'm there. just so that they don't feel like i'm just gonna leave and never come back cuz they know that sometimes girls who are visiting with no intend to ever return will steal and dip out on tips/fees on their last shift
