Default Glowy glamour look for photoshoot?

Hello gorgeous ladies, I'm looking for a little advice. I'm looking a little older now (bags under eyes, forehead lines) and my skin is kind of flat and sallow looking. I just recently had a photoshoot done and my face looked TERRIBLE, I def can't use the pictures for my site as I intended.

I've been watching youtube vids on makeup but I can't afford all those high end products plus most of them are hard to get in the UK and not cruelty free/vegan. Can anyone give me some tips on how to look flawless and 'glowing', like in these pics but with easy to find products and instructions? I think I can use Charlotte tilbury stuff, urban decay, tarted, kat von d. I am so clueless though.

^I don't have loads of advice because I'm not really a huge makeup person and usually wear more natural stuff, but one thing I noticed is that very matte or heavy powdery makeup is more ageing - I wear a liquid foundation which is actually closer to a tinted moisturiser (unfortunately not from one of the brands you listed)...it gives me a sheer glowy look, and even with a bit of powder on top still has a little sheen.

To get the look in photos takes different products. You can use coconut oil to give your skin a radiant look in photos. Make sure to use a smoothing primer under your eyes and color correct with an orange or peach concealer. A Dewy setting spray or fix plus can give you the same effect for everyday that the coconut oil gives but won’t clog your pores.

Try using some of the Loreal Lumi products. The lumi cushion is awesome. They are fabulous and affordable. The dewy look is my shit but mostly because I have oily skin so it helps to just work with it instead of minimizing it. If that makes sense? Plus one on the setting spray suggestion. e.l.f cosmetics has an amazing setting spray that's only $3, it provides moisture while holding everything in place.

    Photoshop/photo 'retouching'

Then hire better photographers who know how to do this.

Otherwise starting a few weeks before the photoshoot get weekly facial (DIY if on a budget), exfoliate, moisturize, cold compress on eyes daily.

i know this is not technically what you asked for, but try a 'clear and brilliant laser facial' your skin will be glowing and you will look younger. or hire a good makeup artist. the right foundation is key, too. have someone match you.

    or photoshop.

Long term you need to improve your diet & drink more filtered water. I've reversed facial skin lines & under eye puffiness with self care and nutrition.

I know this thread is a little old now but only just seen it so thought i would add.

Firstly regarding the pics you have done i would get them touched up so that they can still be used.

As for the glowly look you are after, its nkt just about make up but skin care first and foremost. Have a look at deciem, they do vegan creulty free skincare at great prices and they can help taylor a skincare routine for you. I have been using their products (so far only from the ordinary range) for less then a week and already my skin is looking more youthful, glowly, brighter, fresher and more even. Then once you have your skoncare sorted then you can add in the make up. Tbh as much as i love the artistry that a lot of blogger/insta/youtube make up artists do i find it way too much and heavy and sadly it distroys skin. Also because they are not using a suitable skincare routine for them it does still show through their make up. Think of lit like building a house. You have to get the foundations right first then you add to the design and interiors.
I deserve the life i want. To be adored by men, treated like a princess and to be indulged. I deserve nothing but a life of luxury.

Great lighting means everything & helps with the bags under the eyes. So does the angle of which you are being shot at, the camera at an angle above you is way better than even or below.

Shallow skin tone could be the camera was NOT white balanced or the color of the light bulbs. Natural defused sunlight is best. Also the position of the lights, overhead lighting is HORRIBLE for pics and makes under eye circles appear ON everyone.

Milk of magnesia patted on before you do the foundation. Full coverage base rather than a sheer.

Fine lines in forehead, bangs. Also easy to fix in Photoshop, which you can get for $10 a month from adobe.com There are plenty of great tutorials on youtube for photoshop, which you can use to fix the under eye circles.

If you are getting professional pics done then they should have a makeup artist there.

There are many things that go into a great pic and not all of it has to do with you or the makeup. As far as makeup goes Elf has many great products for under eye circles in the makeup department for under $5. Use a yellow or green base to help fix them. Cream colored frosted eyeshadow can be use as a highlighter on your cheek bone, down the center of your nose & on top of your mouths cupid bow. Go lightly with it & then use setting powder to blend it in better.

From within glow, lots of salads for the greens, salmon for a week.

No sugar or caffeine for a week.

Microdermabrasion a week or two before hand.

Oatmeal ground up then mix with honey & a bit of lemon juice two days before hand. Oatmeal exfoliates & calms the skin, honey naturally heals and lemon brightens. Keep on 5 minutes then wash off with warm water & wash cloth.
