    Duh first night

The other night was my first night dancing, super stoked. After getting over the initial anxiety that comes with getting on stage for the first time, I just blanked. I ran out of things to do so quickly, and resorted to just laughing at myself really. It didn’t really matter though because it was a REALLY slow night. If there were people in there though, I just know I would’ve looked SO silly. I can watch floorwork routines on youtube all day, but when I got up there I wouldn’t think of not one. I resort to walking around the pole or twerking because I’m not very flexible & I don’t have the best rhythm either. I’m honestly hoping those are things I can pick up as I go if I want it bad enough, & I do. My first question is, do/have you ladies come up with routines ever just to make life easier up there? Or just wing it? Also, can you please tell me about the worst newbie stripper you’ve ever seen (dancing wise) just to make me feel a little better because right now I feel like it’s ME. lol

Sidenote: Is it normal to not even HEAR the music when you get up there? Like I’m so focused on what I’m about to do that I can’t even remember what songs I danced to.

I just started dancing in April and if it makes you feel better this just happened to me the other day.
I generally always wear 6 inch heels but lately I've been wanting to upgrade so I bought 8 inch pleasers. The difference in the two inches feels HUGE, so I wore my new shoes out on the floor to get a feel for them but decided they were too high and didn't want risk it since it was the weekend and I didn't want to fall/embarrass myself. As I am about to go upstairs and change the DJ calls me over to do a stage show because the girl ahead of me didn't show up. Anyways, I was so nervous about falling I looked like a fucking dumbass the WHOLE time and ended up pulling my groin lmao (don't ask how, super embarrassing)

Also there have been times where I slipped on my money and fallen (Canadian plastic bills- such a pain in the ass). I usually just squeal and start laughing and make eye contact with the customers and be cute/playful about it.

For some reason I always get tipped more when I goof up on stage because it makes me look 'human' I guess in a way?

I don't know.... if you are nervous about stage shows then go more during the weekdays/evening when its slow and practice new stuff! Thats what I do.

Also I wing ALL my stage shows, I want to get into a routine though.

Stage and private dances are ALWAYS so awkward and feel like time is just dragging on at first lol. I enjoy stage now but sometimes the lap dances are awkward especially when they just sit quietly no emotion like???
You sound just like me when I first started. I completely blanked out the whole stage show but ended up with the most tips so they liked something lol. Just pick music you really get into and enjoy yourself

I almost forgot to mention, the shitty “lapdance” brand 6 inch heels I bought fold into my foot whenever I do floor work. I’m not sure how to explain it but if I don’t fix it (frantically dig my finger in my shoe as if I’m scratching my sweaty feet on stage) it’s a sure fire way to trip. I managed to not do that, until I got to the LAST step coming off the stage and busted my ass. LMAO

I’m glad I’m not the only one, lol. But one really shitty thing about my club, we can’t pick our music it’s whatever our shitty dj decides to play. & It’s always really bad.

I wing all my stage shows, but one thing that really helped me was practicing a few transitions at home... like, how to stand up gracefully, how to switch into a different move. I don't have a lot of moves or tricks, but that way, if I run out of steam for one move I'm doing, it's way more automatic for me to transition into a different move and keep going.
