Dizzy Applied as waitress and nervous need advice on a few things

    Hello Ladies,

I'm recently new to this site. I've read many post and have gained some good insight.

I have been wanting to become a stripper for at least 6 months but have psyched myself out from pursuing it. I've decided to apply as a waitress for now. I start soon...

I live 40 miles from the club I applied at but will only work two times a week.

I am hoping to maybe take pole lessons and get toned. I'm petite but I gained weight from being depressed and developed a stomach, which my boyfriend makes jokes saying I look pregnant...

    My questions are:

-- Do you think I'll make enough tips if 6 girls are waitressing on the weekends, including myself?

My goal is to get enough money to pay some bills, get a few pole dance lessons and buy the stripper shoes and outfits while I lose a few pounds.

Also, this sounds ridiculous but I follow the Instagram of the club I'm applying at and I get sort of intimidated because most of the females are twerking their ass and I'm slender and would look stupid if I tried. Is it normal to feel somewhat insecure at first and if so how do you get over it?

I went to the club a few days ago and noticed there were a lot of girls on stage during the day but nobody was tipping at the rail.....except for one guy but he was selective.

-- Any advice on transitioning from a waitress to a dancer while toning up?

-- If 6 girls are wsatressing the same night how do I make sure I get enough tips?

-- Any advice on what to wear to conceal a tummy while toning up?

    Thank you

Maybe, it depends on the size of the club and what shifts you are working

Try and hop on the pole after hours during closing time, watch the girls on stage, hit the gym. don't waste money on pole classes if you don't have it because it doesn't really help

You don’t. Waitresses frequently fight over tables and the girls who have been there longer will get the high rollers, not you. You could go home with $20 one night and $300 the next night.

Most nice clubs will have you wear a uniform. Most of them i've noticed have the waitresses wearing corsets which are great for hiding a tum

being insecure is normal too, after you work there for a while you'll start to feel way more comfortable once you know everyone and the layout of the club and you'll probably have a better idea of how to dance so you fit in. you'll also probably have some club regs who will be suuuuper excited to see you finally strip and that will make your first night a lot easier. i was a waitress for around 6 months before i started dancing

Yes, I think I'll join a gym instead of taking pole classes. Maybe try to practice on a pole over there. Just super nervous and I was hoping that I wouldn't have to race to win tables....... the club allows waitresses to wear whatever they choose. I have a steel boned corset so maybe I'll see how that looks. Thanks for the advice beautiful!

I don't want to spook you away, but I imagine after a few weeks, you'll get used to the environment and want to try dancing!
It's actually a good strategy. You can talk to a lot of guys about " thinking " about it and then have them join for your debut!

Waitressing itself will help you lose the depression weight. It's on your feet and active so unless you are replacing with bad habits ( sodas / booze at work ) , just eat healthy and drink low calorie or water and you'll lose naturally from being on your feet more.

Yes, if I had the "body" for it right now I'd jump in to stripping but I have a jelly belly right now. It's not that bad but bad enough to bother me.. especially since I'm small. I noticed salty foods and excess carbs make it worse. So, I hope it works out as a waitress so I can earn money for stripper shoes and outfits.

wear a corset. down here waitresses usually wear one and it makes your waist appear smaller and your booty bigger so you will get more tips hehe. i would practice how to twerk and do floor work at home with youtube videos and just watch how the girls dance on stage and you'll be golden in a few weeks. but you might find that you make more money as a waitress anyways.

Awesome advice to you and everyone else who replied! The strippers onstage definitely have lots of confidence and I watched them last night. Some just crawl while others do pole tricks. Thanks <3

Your boyfriend making fun of you should be dumped. Love is supposed to build you up, NOT tear you down.

It is rude, negative & verbal abuse to bring you down. Since you are having to drive 40 miles to work at a club in hopes of making good money. Says he is broke & not helping you out.

Find a better looking richer boyfriend who values you and does NOT run you down. You deserve better.
