    Default Walking in pleasers!!

Hey y’all! I’ve been wearing my pleasers around the house to try to get used to them before I audition! However, I’m really good at dancing without them but with them I look so awk because I don’t wanna fall! I’m also 6’9 without them and I’m like 6’3 with them on!And I keep having moments where I get wobbly and of course I’m scared to break my ankle or fall during my audition or even worse at work!! So my question is, how long did it take for you to get comfortable in your shoes? Did you ever fall at work/your audition ? Do y’all see many y’all girls around where you work And have you or someone u know ever broke their ankle at work?

I personally wear ace bandage sleeves on my ankles and thigh highs over them. I have sprained my left ankle a dozen times in my life and don’t want to take a chance of hurting myself again.

When I started dancing I really had to get used to super high heels. Also we have a rule where we aren't allowed to wear heels on stage we have to be barefoot. I think that helped me being a beginner so I wouldn't fall on stage.

I have deff fallen at work. I've fallen on stage, fallen while walking the floor, fallen while standing up to start a dance. I just always end it with my arms out like a gymnast and a big smile or some corny shit like "im falling for you" practice deff helps and honestly boots are where its at for wobblyness. I feel so much sturdier in my boots vs my little strappy pleasers

After a few months of dancing, I fell the other night for the first time.
My club, for GOD KNOWS WHAT REASON, has like 50 million random sets of stairs. Every little area is at a different level it seems like. Like a damn obstacle course. It's a wonder I haven't fallen sooner, now that I think about it.
I was holding a customer's hand as I lead him to the private dance area and, for some reason, that alone was enough to throw off my balance while going down 3 little steps... annnd I absolutely ate it. (thankfully no one else saw, thankfully the area was carpeted, and thankfully I've got ankles of steel. I put my feet up that night and they've recovered.)

I think that you'll be fine at first just because you'll be extra careful, versus when you get toooo comfortable in your heels and don't pay as much attention.

Also, a veteran dancer once told me to always lean into the fall instead of trying to break it, to make your range of motion smoother. (I think that's easier said than done, and it kinda depends on the type of fall/material you're falling on/potential support you can grab)

You dont have to start out with the double stack platforms. but if you do, try wearing a boot instead of a sandal style. They are a bit easier on the ankles and offer better support. Also, pleaser makes single stack platforms that aren't too terribly high and pretty much no different than wearing regular heels but still look like stripper heels

A veteran stripper told me to wear them while vacuuming the house. Gives you something to hold on to. There are some shoes that I NEVER felt comfortable in (8" mules), and others that felt like a piece of cake (5" heels with ankle straps).

If you're really struggling, try a different pair? You might feel more stable in 5" boots, like some other posters suggested.

Try some ankle high pleaser BOOTS!! I have some peep-toe boots of theirs that are super sexy stillettos... CHeck out this link to see the ones I bought.

They give you a TON of ankle support. I wear them when I am coming back after a long break and needing to strengthen my ankles up again.

Strappy sandals I took a while to get comfy with.

    Also try cone heels:

I haven't actually worn these but it makes sense that you would have more ankle stability with the wider heel base, and they are still super sexy.

I second, third, and fourth the pleaser ankle boots. Like you I’m taller than most women (5’7”) and in tall heels my center of gravity just feels OFF (cuz it is). I wear the pleaser ankle boots 80% of the time at work on the floor and 99% of the time on stage. They support (& hide) my super skinny ankles. When I wear them they look SUPER CUTE and I feel like I can run, turn flips or even walk a balance beam in them. They are by far my favorite stripper shoes.

As far as falling I’ve done it several times in the dressing room and once in a very public area in the club. I mean heels literally throw your center off so they’re not exactly easy to stay balanced in at all times. I just laugh it off every time .

I would love no shoes on stage. Maybe not as a rule but an allowance. When I practice stage sets at home I always feel like they look better and flow easier barefoot.

I've been practicing walking in mine on the treadmill in my basement. You can adjust the incline after a while too to make sure you can walk on slight slants.

Also these are incredibly comfortable, especially if you put a sole insert in there for extra comfort. Very easy to walk in and the built-in platform makes them look higher than they actually push your foot. I can run around in these alllll night!!
