Being a stripper is one of the best decisions I ever made. The only reason I didn't choose it earlier was because I was influenced by society/others.I wish I have done it earlier when I was 21 .

I have made some of the best relationships in my life thru dancing, friends that I wouldn't give up for anything.
i wish i started younger too. i thought i would be "ruining my life" because of the stigma smh.

Has anyone asked you to regret it?

Amen to that! I gotta say tho Im glad I built a career and learned how to work my ass off and build my income BEFORE dancing because just having "easy money" like that doesn't teach you the value of it. Plus I don't think I would have known myself well enough when I was younger to psychologically handle dancing like I can now. It is a gift to be able to dance.

I don't understand, who regrets making money & the ability to pay bills. What other people say or you think they say still seems to matter to you. Why?

Any time I've met someone who has a problem with dancing I've noticed that they also happen to be embarrassingly broke. And male.
Love this posting and all the comments. Some of the best years, experiences, & money of my life were via my dancing days. I am super excited to get back to it in probably the springtime. My only regret is I didn't realize what a wonderful life I was living at the time, as I was a spoiled & jaded lil' be'otch, and I also did too much isolating and hiding from others who and what I was/am. BIG mistakes. I don't do any of that now. When I'm out, I tell people I am an adult entertainer, and I generally find they greet that info with respect, curiosity, and warmth. Women I meet love it when I share some of my kookie stories with them of both dancing and Domming, and nearly always, civvies say 'they wish they had the nerve and could do it.' I always reply with glee, "YOU CAN!!" Best times ever in the biz!! :-)

I notice sooo many men at work are so pressed about me dancing.."you can't do this forever" / "you need to find smthg better" / "are you at least in school so you can get out of here?"
Ha, I love it! I've in no way expressed any desire to quit but they just assume I'm some beaten down fantine character who only does this from desperation. I actually consider myself lucky to be hot enough, able-bodied, and good at my job to make a comfortable fun living.
