Who cares what they think? You're there to make money, not friends. Be polite but ignore them. As long as they aren't trying to actively sabotage your job, who cares if they are bitchy?

That's true. I just feel bothered because the waitress who has been there twenty years on and off acts like she owns the bar and club. I tried to be nice to her but apparently it's coming off as "weakness".

Focus on you, hustling tips, making friends with the customers and don’t worry about the other staff. If you work hard and follow the rules she will give up eventually, hating people for no reason is tiring and she will get bored. Your previous posts imply you don’t intend to remain a waitress and want to dance, so focus your efforts are learning how to make hustle your tables and learning more about being a dancer.

The waitresses are the worst esp the long term ones. If you want to dance just do it, don't try to be nice to them if they are being like that. I suggest you change how you are acting.

There is a hazing period at every job. You have stated this place hires lots of waitresses. So she has seen lots of ya'll come & go, she is still there.

You are going to have to earn her respect. Which means minding your own business, being efficient, doing all your side work & cleaning quickly & well.

It is called paying your dues. Whenever the newbies stand in the drink well too long trying to figure stuff out you are slowing down her hustle. Maybe you think she should be more friendly, teaching & have patients, but how many of ya'll as she seen come & go over a years time. Now add 3 or more years to it.

People there are there to work, to make money.

There is worrying about being grabbed & spilling your drinks, given fake money, being ripped off and all kinds of stuff every night on every shift. This mindset of newbies needing everyone to be nice & kiss their asses is perplexing to me in some of these threads. When you work in clubs you see all kinds of people come & go, some of them just mentally draining & some are scam artist who don't last long. Ya'll want all this consideration without thinking of what they've been through & learned the hard way.

They are NOT being paid to help you. Taking time to help others cuts into your money. Try the manager who does get paid to help.

Small talk? It is a job. Small talk with you does NOT make them money.

Don't take this personally, but some people get jobs to work NOT make friends. In the past, some waitresses have tried to be "friends" then also tried to steal good tipping regulars away too. How do they know you are not that kind? They don't.

New girls also ask for rides, loans, places to stay, dump their personal problems on you & just fuck up what could have been a good & profitable night at work. They will try to steal your regulars & sometimes your boyfriend. I have been a stripper & a strip club waitress before I became a porn star.

Whenever I started a new club, I kept to myself & earned respect with hard work & running circles around everyone else. I didnt talk about my personal life or ask about other's personal lives. I studied books on selling & management.

Yes, I want to be a dancer but need to gather the courage. I'm naturally very shy and introverted. I'll just focus on making money and ignore the negativity as much as possible.

I believe this so much. Some of them come across as they think they are superior to the dancers. Yet, a few are genuinely sweet. Yep, I'm not going to even talk to her or any of the mean ones.

Yep, you are absolutely right. I'm there to work and not to make friends. I just didn't want to come across as a snob but I'm just going to keep to myself as much as I can. If I need to figure out something I'll Google it and stay out of her way because I don't feel like being yelled at.

None of them know I am just waitressing in order to transition to dancing. In fact, a lot of the waitresses look down on dancers including this veteran waitress.....

I'll just do my best to avoid her and to not take anything personal. As for asking anyone for help I'm just going to have to learn on my own because I noticed the girls are ringing up double orders or deleting my orders and it's probably on purpose.

You're absolutely right though... go to work to work and not to make friends.

OMG Lots of girls are hired just for that reason, till they get brave enough to become a dancer.

If they are a bit to chubby to run the weight off of them waiting tables first. It is not some big secret but very common in clubs.

You are not a strong waitress & being a dancer will not be any easier. It is also why you try to get guys to do tabs.

You really need to toughen up. Cause all offices & clubs are the same way. If you are weak, they will tear you apart.

It is just a job, nothing more. You are young with many learning experiences ahead of you. Not all lessons in life are easy.
