Default Intermittent Fasting - any experience?

I am trying the 16:8 type, because I want to lose more fat % over a long period of time. Any tips? How about supplements that help with it (for example prevent feeling hungry, lethargic, or malnutrition)?

I am not familiar with this but I have done fasts before. I can give you tips on a few things but I am a little nervous because I do not want to trigger anyone with an ED since I have struggled with one for over 20 years now.

i havent done it in like 2-3 years i really need to get back into tho because i loved it. anyway in my experience you kind of "train" ur body to adjust. i think for awhile keeping busy/distraction is key. but after a handful of times, i think my body adjusted to longer pauses between food because i would forget it was time to break my fast alot lol.
actually not eating gave me more energy...i never felt lethargic or anything, they say digestion takes a ton of energy so i would guess thats why. i would just focus on eating nutrient dense foods when u do eat.

Drink tons of coffee & keep yourself distracted for long periods of time & don't buy food to keep in the house bc you'll want it. That's my big secret to saving money & warding off my insane cravings for sweets & overeating. Only eat when you go out to run errands or whatever, sounds weird but it helped me & I'd just drink tons of coffee.

Yeah it's true. Keep bad foods out of your living space.

What you want to lose fat is your body in a state of just barely hungry. Not always ketosis, but close.
The key to it all is Wheat, rice, corn, and tapioca. To Loose Visceral fat , or any excess, you Must omit the ingredients I just listed. They are in all processed foods.
How it works.. Wheat and the others Convert to SUGAR Faster than White sugar does in your body. This is due to the Wheat of last 60 years being GMO. When your body gets that Sugar, IF not used in movement, will store as FAT. Then later, the Sugar itself gets stored as FAT.
IF you just cut all breads, corn syrup, Starch, and sugars, your BMI will drop, less fat on you.
The work around for bread for me is Flax seed wraps I make in the microwave.
This takes will power, but the better feeling you get from detoxing the processed crap is amazing.
I eat "nice cream" I make from Bananas, Almond Milk, Papaya, cinamon, and sugar free cocoa powder. Its good and does fit the craving.
I can link up a couple places I go for info. There is a huge crowd that uses this method and 2 doctors are heavily involved. I have heard it can protect you in the future from some illnesses. Good luck !

Something that works really well for me is a weekly cheat fast. I'm following the zone diet day to day with a single anything goes cheat meal on Saturday night. And I mean ANYTHING goes. I follow this up on Sunday by only drinking protein shakes every 3 hours. The influx of calories tricks my body into going into burn mode. This lasts throughout the fast day and torches fat.

First time I did it, I lost 5 pounds in a single day and 1.5 inches on my waist. Now, I average about 1-2 pounds lost every cheat fast. To curb hunger, I drink lots of water in between my shakes. My shakes are ON Gold Standard Whey, one scoop each shake.

Check out T-Nation's forums for some professional takes on the cheat fast. That's where I found it. (About me: Officer in the Army required to stay fit, and amateur weightlifter trying to manage bulks and cuts).

I had IBS and a really think this cured it! Everything in moderation. As far as a diet- I wouldn’t recommend if you want to lose weight. Protein - carbs +lifting weights = hot bod

Just a cautionary tale... intermittent fasting had a really negative impact on me. It was kind of my gateway to an eating disorder, a few years ago. If you do it, make sure you're getting enough nutrition, and listen to your body's limits.

^^^ oh babe im sorry, i can see how it could trigger something like that. It’s not suppose to be a diet- regular way of eating. Just if my tummy needs a break. There’s has been research about it helping aging.

All the fad diets are a joke. Get my fitness pal and decide your macros and calories. That’s the only way to “diet”. I’m so sick of these companies selling this weight loss bullshit.
