Default How far do you travel for work? Would you switch clubs?

How far do you travel to work? What would be your max acceptable drive time for a good club?

Im working days at a relaxed club I like (45 min away) and I know I should try nights first before complaining but it’s very hard stacking dances there and they take half your dance earnings ..and with champagne rooms, a half hour is 300 and you only get 50 out of it, so if you want more you gotta ask the guy to tip you. No schedule or house fee tho
I could drive an hour north to a good club, drive an hour and 15 min west for a few ok clubs, or drive an hour and 25 min south down to providence..stripclub capital.
Im just torn cause it’s gotten so hit or miss during days this winter ..but I should definitely try nights first right?
Idk just looking for some input I guess lol

Huh? This has to be a typo.....

If you stay there you'd need to do only what gets you the highest payout

I mean the club owners sound like glorified pimps because at the end of the shift there is no reason why the club should take more than 40%. 50% is too much, so I would not stay there if I were you.

You already drive 45 mins for your current club. Try the club that’s an hour away and see how you like it. You have to account for the extra gas money as well as your tip out but if you can make that much more it’s worth it. Keep in mind if you work nights depending on when the club closes are you ok driving for an hour to get back home ? you may be exhausted after a full shift and driving while tired is a bad combo.

I travel an hour and a half by public transportation couple of times a week to get to work. Occasionally I will stay for a few days and work a bunch instead of going back and forth. Can you do something like that?

    Go to Providence. Fuck that.

I have never lived more than an hour from a decent club. In fact there is one I could walk to from my house right now if I wanted. Lol. When I first, first started dancing I used to drive up from the PVD area to clubs in Mass that were and hour and 30 mins and then to Mario's show place so like an hour and 20 mins. I also drove to CT. The money was pretty good back then....

I was driving far away because I didn't want to bump into people I knew. Eventually though I just started dancing in Providence because I didn't give a shit anymore and the money was much better. People from other parts of New England go to PVD because the "mileage" is better.

I would say 1.5 - 2 hours would be my absolute max, however I do like to drink so it throws a wrench in things. When I was 22 I could crash at one of the dancer's houses. Can't really do that anymore.

Yeah I just started working again, my baby is a year old just barely so it puts a damper on staying too long anywhere (like getting a motel) til he gets older which is why I went to the relaxed place with no schedule. A female manager hates me so that rules out 3 good clubs right near be that she works at. Til she one day quits.
Think I’ll try nights and if that also sucks I’ll try out the different areas 1 by 1. When I worked in RI a few years ago it was awesome, and so packed that if one guy wanted too much mileage I could move onto the guy standing an inch or two on either side of him (packed on the weekends to the point everyone was standing)

Girl, that is WAY too much money for them to be taking. How the eff can you only get $50 out of $300?!?! I'd find another club ASAP.

Nights do generally have more money around, but days can be decent and relaxed... and you can get regulars if you stay long enough...

I used to commute 40 miles each way, often sitting in traffic for 1-1.5 hours. Now I look at the mileage on my car & cringe. I don't know why I did that, besides just liking the club. Now I only drive 19 miles and it's no more than 20 minutes, there's never any traffic. I can't imagine going back to that commute.

Girl that’s a HORRIBLE cut. Like wtf.

So basically, the club charges $250 to use the champagne room for 30 min, so you could charge $500, and keep $250. Seems high though, for $500 for 30 min, the customer is likely to want more than a dance...how much does the club charge if the customer wants to do an hour? Another $250?

Yeah and it's a dive club with lots of extras so although I'm one of the hotter ones (hotness is subjective but in terms of classic skinny young-looking blond stripper. Not to sound conceited ) and I'm more experienced than a lotta the other girls there it's hard competing with blow jobs and sex for cheap..which I won't do up there, fuck that. The guys will tip 100-200 on top of the 300 for a half hour if they're feeling generous.
An hour is 500 and you get 100 I think. I've only ever gotten half hours.

There's a very high-end club next door but I'd have to cover my tattoos and get long hair extensions/spray tan. It's a bit intimidating and ruthless there I hear

I've tried twice, she refuses to even see me. She wouldn't even fire me to my face. Complete nut.

The only think I can think of is for you to tell them outright the champange room is $400, that way you get 150 for yourself and then if they would like to tip.
But honestly for cuts like that, I would go someplace farther out. I travel 30-1 hour to my club depending on traffic and public transit. It's worth the commute even at the hour mark.

I only travel about 10-20 minutes depending on which club I work at but I wouldn't mind traveling more if the club I wanted to work at was further away. I would just make my decision based on if the extra money I would be likely to make at said club was still gonna end up being more once gas and any other expenses were taken into account. I think an hour and a half isnt too bad if there's lot of money there and you could always split your time between different clubs. Like only go that far away once a week or something on the night that it's usually the busiest.

I don't want to drive more than half hour distance, personally. I'm trying to make and save as much as I can. I'm not from the area originally so I don't have to worry about running into people I know.

    And yes, 50/300 is horrible!!

When people ask why strippers aren't making what they used to, I think this is a big reason that never gets mentiined..greedy clubs. The amount of money I could be taking home if it weren't all getting taken away lol

Greedy clubs and management. I don't understand a salaried manager that hasn't said or done nothing for me beside, an one-time "hi," to expect my earnings and says that I'm overcharging-- What an asshole... Then to be charged to do expensive lapdances and almost half the cost of VIP goes to the club, and you complain about me not taking my top off on stage because a non-tipping customer complains, and you don't care to enforce "customers" not taking photos of the entertainers"? WTF can you degrade or disrespect a person much more, that is, making YOU money?
