    Default My hair?

Hi all. I'm wanting to start dancing in the next couple of months, but I'm worried about my hair because I've been told that a lot of managers don't like the alternative look. My hair is in a very large hot pink mohawk. It's not the usual short mohawk, it goes down my back but when I put it up it is big, and that's the way I like to wear it. I am located in the South but will be dancing in a large city that has a vibrant music scene, both country and rock, and that also has a lot of alternative people. I am also a belly dancer and whenever I perform I have all sorts of people coming up to me saying they love my hair, even guys in cowboy hats. I have a long blonde wig that is very "Barbie" and that I look nice in, it just gets hot and uncomfortable when I'm dancing in it and honestly I feel the most confident with my natural hair. I just don't want to be blow my audition because there really is only one nice strip club in the area. Should I audition with my mohawk, and bring the wig just in case the manager doesn't like my look? Or skip the 'hawk all together and just go with the blonde wig? For what it's worth, I have seen plenty of alternative, heavily tattooed dancers at this club before, just none with a mohawk. I can also wear it in a softer more feminine style, like Christy Mack, for example. I'm just undecided at this point and could use some input. Thanks!

alwsys audition with the more conservative/classic stripper/feminine look. Then once you're hired you have a lot more leeway.
    Love the hair though!

Wear the wig and don't say anything. In all my years of dancing, I have never seen a girl with hair quite so 'loud', so that tells you what managers generally look for.
If there's only one club in the area, you don't want to blow your audition over something you could have changed.

I agree you should definitely wear the blonde wig for auditions. Once your hired you can wear your natural hair.

Just wear the wig for the audition. After you get hired you can test out the Mohawk. I’ve seen girls with similar haircuts wear theirs with a center part straightened and I couldn’t even tell the sides were shaved. If the wig is too hot and uncomfortable you can try that.

I also agree you should wear the wig for the audition. The fact that your face is absolutely gorgeous I think you can still make money with the mohawk; esp. because I have a fairly good idea of the city you are in (or down to 3 options) but what the customers like is not always what the dummy managers will be looking for

Youre beautiful but honestly strip clubs aren't the places to daring and provocative with your looks. Theres alt girls that bank but in my experience they would usually do better when they catered to a more conventional style of beauty. The girls that I know who already have tats and piercings tend to do better if they are otherwise "regular" looking.

At the very least, audition with your wig and then see if you can pull off the mohawk once you're already hired.

Stripping is the most norm-core of the sex industry .. escorts, dommes and webcam girls can get away with a lot more looks wise.

For 4b and 4c natural hair the only style that works while dancing are braids. I tried Bantu knot outs and braid outs but once you start dancing you sweat those out.

If you’re in nyc or just a regular gentlemen’s club, DO NOT WEAR YOUR HAIR NATURAL! You will NOT make any $. My hair is 4C af, but I always wear wigs to work. I once wore it natural and I didn’t make crap. At urban spots, FEEL FREE! But wear wigs. It’s sad to say, but you gotta euronize yourself in these spaces.
