I am personally very sadden by this trend because it likely skews male perception even more out there as to what a sexual encounter should be like. It's instant gratification as many other aspects of our society, and that is not a positive thing long term. I know porn is entertainment, but (personal experience bias here) I've also been married to a porn addict, and let me tell you, it is not fun to be a human feeling like a sex doll in someone else's pleasure experience. These "lost" men are real and out there. They have no idea that good sex is more than just a hard penis going in and out of someone. I wish all this tech would just die and people connected more with their minds before engaging in mutual masturbation. That sort of "fake"/perceived intimacy would likely lead to a lot more pleasure for the client than the current "vending machine" model (insert token, female convulses in waves of pleasure). Anybody can masturbate and orgasm. Humans have intrinsic needs that go beyond an orgasm, and I really don't think any technology will be able to satisfy that need (maybe advanced AI sex robots one day, but seriously, the human species is doomed if men decide to love robots instead of their kind). Pleasure is processed in the brain and has both physical and psychological components. I don't think any technology can surpass the pleasure humans can feel from perceived intimacy with another, because intimacy is a psychological component, not a physical one, and technology so far can only influence our senses, not our thoughts. Conclusion: Some of this tech is good for money now, sucky for the future of real relationships between sexes. We keep developing tech because people's emotional needs aren't being met. Ironic vicious circle?
