Default A dancer was sexually assaulted at my club this weekend...

She was hanging out with a customer that I had previously chatted with and he PULLED HER BUTT PLUG OUT!!! Cops were called, he went to spend the night in jail, the girls who were there are going to court to testify.

My first question is how can I support my friends - the dancer who got assaulted, the bouncer who had to take the dude down, and the other girls who feel vulnerable and less at home in our club? Would it be horribly cheesy to bring in flowers or baked goods or something?

Second, how soon can I expect business to be back to usual? Word got around that shit has been going down (apparently a bartender got punched yesterday too) and there are fewer customers. I like this club despite its issues and I'd be willing to stay as long as customers go back to normal levels in a reasonable amount of time.

Lastly, any further tips for keeping myself safe? Current strategy is staying the heck away from drama, but that only keeps me safe from dancers and regulars.

really? they called the cops over that? that's awesome. all clubs should take assault that seriously but most i've worked at do not.

i think flowers would be a sweet gesture if it were me, but idk the girl, some people would not want attention drawn to something like that so i wouldn't risk it. and idk how long it'll take to get busy again but i'd say maybe two months? there was a shooting at one of my clubs and it took about that long for things to go back to normal cuz obviously everyone is gonna be talking about it for a little while

^^^awe. Flowers are nice. Unfortunately abuse is often minimized I’m glad they took it seriously. I tip the bouncers quite a bit during my career because that’s a risk they take. So I don’t necessarily do anything more unles something serious happened because of me. When I give them a good tip...I hope they put toward dental insurance because that’s why I tip them so good when I have the money to do so. Guys also like food or nice craft case beer.

Being that it was an entertainer that unfortunately, got assaulted and not a customer... it may not take that long for it to go back to normal. Now if it were the other way around, possibly.
