I danced for some time in another state but since my buddy can no longer work with me I'll be auditioning at clubs closer to me. I am fortunate that when I started she gave me a few of her outfits that didn't fit her anymore and let me borrow her shoes. But now I'm on my own and don't have many outfits and no shoes. In her area there was a store that sold all kinds of dancewear etc (altho kind of pricey) but there isn't anything like that in my area.
I looked around on a few websites but it seems like buying so much stuff is going to add up. I don't mind splurging on a few outfits locally (there is Spencer's in my mall which has some usable stuff) & buying cheap for the rest of time online from overseas (I have found some on sites like Aliexpress, ebay, and Wish that would work well). I am also thinking in the meantime 1 pair of clear shoes that would match everything cause shoes are expensive af and I want those to be quality so they are less likely to break or wear.
I have also heard of girls going to stores like walmart, tjmaxx and Burlington coat factory and finding stuff that works. What do you usually look out for when you do this? Love buying stuff in person so I can make sure it fits. (I usually order online and alter myself to fit if needed but if I can skip the 2nd step, why not.)
And the last question, I will be dancing longterm. So how many outfits do I really need if i'm working (preferably) at least 3 times a week?
Sorry for the long ass post any help is appreciated!! <3
