I like being alone, I just don't like being lonely.
Okay, this is a bit harder than I thought. LOL, martial artist couple No.13 (at mark 30:46). But I like couple No.10 better, the chemistry between these two was just unbelievable.

From a different angle.
I like being alone, I just don't like being lonely.
After I posted those fantastic latin dance videos, I found out those are all International Amateur Champions.
Here is the professional champion! Can you tell?!!
She's got pretty fingers!

^ That is awesome! I love that. I've always wanted to learn how to dance like that but alas, no partner. I've seen classes that would pair lone people with partners but eh. I'd rather do that with someone I have chemistry with. I think it makes it better both to dance and to watch Latin dancers when there appears to be chemistry between them. I know you didn't ask for any comments but I threw my 2 cents anyways, lol.
You will have to learn how to dance with strangers in a class first. Then you can find your partner during the social dance. The dance styles that need a lot of chemistry between partners are ballroom dances, mainly. Rumba, chachacha, samba, etc. .. kizomba as well, since it's very intimate.
For salsa or Bachata, it's more a social kind of dance, you just need to find someone who can dance with you...
You know the difference... one just needs to know how to move, another needs the real chemistry, real feelings.
Of course, I am talking about amateur stuff...
add: I am actually surprised that not too many ladies commented. Most of us were/are dancers (quote) in the past/ at present. This thread should be right up our alley.

I missed this thread somehow! It's actually kinda LoA feeling that it popped up right now, I was looking up coaches earlier to get back into it. Spooky!
I did ballroom (including rhythm) for years. I met my SO there, he was an instructor & we were both teaching by the time our studio closed down. There's a video floating around on Youtube of him doing a showcase routine to an MJ song actually
Some of the latin dances I wouldn't do in a group class, totally agree. Bolero & bachata spring to mind, and we don't generally teach paso doble unless you're seriously competing.
But cha-cha, salsa, rumba are really not too bad IMO. Most of the people are struggling to learn in that setting & there really isn't any sexual tension, haha. They don't really pair you either, it's usually a rotation system too - you won't get stuck with some creeper for the whole hour.
