Default What kind of photos to send for audition?

    Hi,

I'm new here and thinking of auditioning for some clubs in London. I've done camming before but I took a break from that and I want to try the dancing side of things. A few clubs have on their website that you have to send a couple of photos before you are invited to audition and I'm just wondering, do these need to be really high quality photos? Or will they accept something like a selfie?

Also if anyone has any info about dancing in London in general it would be much appreciated! There's a few threads on here but not much from 2017/18 so if anyone is dancing in London at the moment and has any pointers, go ahead!

I'm thinking of applying for Mayfair, The Gaslight of St James, 14 lsq, 23 Paul Street and a few others - but these are the ones that look the best to me, although I know that will make them harder to get into.

    Thanks!
    BB x

Generally for audition purposes selfies are fine, if not better because pro photos might be retouched. Just send a couple pics in a bikini or outfit with similar coverage so they can see your shape.

I would also call the club though and ask about auditions, if they say they use the online form great but so many clubs have a website form that they basically never check.

I just got hired yesterday by a club that asks dancers to send photos. (Oddly, they don't audition--they just hire from pics.)

I didn't send any professional photos. I sent a headshot, which was a selfie. No weird angles or filters, though. Then I sent two full-length photos, one of my front and one of the rear, of me dressed in a stripper outfit with my Pleasers on, hair and makeup done. I took the pics using a DSLR camera, a tripod and a timer. I stood against a plain white wall.

This wasn't the first club that I submitted photos to, but it was the first one that I heard back from. It's a blue-collar club with a slow dayshift in a small town. So I'd echo SuperJa's suggestion to call and try to go to the club in person. The busier the club is, the less likely someone is manning the email account and trying to hire dancers that way, IME.

Cool, thanks! And yes I didn't actually think that maybe they don't check the website - good point

You could also check their facebook page and message them there. That's what I did for my club I'm now working at
