Default Has anyone tried under eye filler?

I'm curious who here has any experience with under eye filler? I have genetic circles under my eyes and I am wanting to try filler to see if it helps. It's not bad enough that I want surgery or anything (at least at this age, maybe in a few years) but I do want to do something about it. A few years ago I tried Belotero and at first it looked great and the bags were totally gone, but after about 10 days fluid started gathering under my eyes and made the bags slightly worse. Fortunately the filler dissolved over time and now it's back to normal. If I were to get under eye filler it would probably be Restalyne.

    Any experience is appreciated, thanks.

I had it done but I forget what filler they used(I know it wasn't Belotero). Filler tends to disappear rapidly with me and the under eyes were no exception. I thought it looked good but the change was so subtle that I didn't think it was worth the money, my under eye hollows weren't horrible to begin with though.

im curious about this as well, my friend in cali said she got fillers under her eyes before and it disappeared within 3-4 months.
i have dark circles as well. mine are genetic but have gotten worse over time, I think so anyway. Philosophy just came out with this new eye cream that is called fill and firm it's on ULTA.com for like 68 bucks i wanna say. i just bought it so it's too soon to tell results, but the reviews were good. I've heard it's like 400 or something crazy for fillers and i def cant afford that lol so im giving this a shot

I've done juvaderm under the eyes. My face is naturally very thin, much thinner than the rest of me. I did the fillers when I was a lot thinner. It looked amazing at first. However, I noticed that as time went on and it was wearing off, I'd get a lot of swelling in under the area where the filler was put. I'm not sure whether that is now the reason I have some wrinkling underneath my eyes. I also get unexpected bloating in my face, for reasons that I suspect is a thyroid issue, and I'm trying to get back on medication for it, as I had some doctor take me off it, wrongly, I believe, and it's a pain to get back on. If you were to do fillers, I'd recommend something other than juvaderm as I heard that juvaderm retains more water and can stretch out the skin. However, find a good practitioner, as the downside with rystaline is that it can go in more clumpy/less smooth than the juvaderm, which is why my practitioner chose juvaderm. Good luck!

i just did it again for the second time ever (first time was almost 10 years ago i think) and I am less than impressed. it made my crow's feet appear less severe, but it didn't do what I wanted it to. it makes your face look puffy/chubby/changes your face shape... i'm not sure how to put it in words..

I did it once and I loved it. It lasted me over a year(Restylane stays in my face that long, can't complain). I want to do it again after my last skin treatment. I haven't done fillers in a little over 2 years.

I got 2 syringes of restlyne. I should be good for at least a whole year. I’m tired of maintence. I’m in love with plastic surgery, but when youth is what pays the bills and how people value me...who can judge me. it’s the way of the world

I look very young for my age except for the fucking bags under the eyes. That's gotta go. And the better I look, the more money I make.

So if I ever get plastic, that will be it. However if there's a way to save several thousand, I'm all for it. So I will be keeping an eye on this thread (no pun intended ha ha!)

I’ve done it, it costs $1200+, it is the only filler I get that causes bruising and swelling, it makes me have a fever for a week until it goes down, and it lasts about 3 months. I stopped doing it because it wasn’t worth it for how long it lasted.

Have you considered fat transfer? That's something i keep looking into... just not sure yet.

Yes. The lady who does my fillers was a nurse at my plastic surgeon office before she opened her own biz. She says there is mixed info out there on fat transfer to this area because of its proximity to the eye. I am personally not too interested in losing my vision lol.

I know a much older dancer addicted to surgery and she did that. It looked amazing. But I thought it was too expensive. Maybe around 2,500 or more. And she was told it would only last a few years.

1.5 months later, I still love it. I am continuously surprised at my new *awake* look, haha. It greatly reduced my self-consciousness at work and in life, and the amount of concealer I have to apply. I would say go for 2 syringes (1 for each eye) if your hollows are really bad like my "before" picture. I would go back for another if I wasn't saving for other things right now. I plan to maintain, at least until some viable replacement comes along, like some kind of undereye implant, if such a thing exists.

    It really looks great.

Yeah Ive also heard fat isn’t good for filling under the eye as the issue there is too thin and you’d be able to see lumps. Also I have hollows and was always interested in under eye filler until I heard that it can plug the tear ducts and later cause puffiness underneath the eyes something about interfering with tear duct drainage.

^^^^ she didn't have lumps. It was just expensive for me. She went to a good doctor. Dr. Guarino in Allentown, PA. He's great for boobs, lipo and fat transfer.
