Default strange, odd, dumb movies you have watched recently

One of the side effects of Netflix is that there is a lot of content out there that costs little to distribute

I end up watching stuff late at night that is, well, questionable, sometimes leaves you shaking your head and wanting that 2 hours back

    Nominee number one:

    Brigsby Bear

Bunch of people in it, really, quite odd

"The Bad Batch"- a weird weird movie starring Jason Momoa (yessss Khal Drogo.) Apparently some of the extras in the film are Slab City residents. If that doesn't scare you I don't know what else will. The plot is basically- if Burning Man imploded on itself...what would happen afterward?

wasn't on netflix but amazon prime video. didn't feel like committing to a full length movie so i picked an indie short film that i assumed would be funny and quirky cuz it had michael cera in it. supposedly it's a "drama comedy" but it was just really depressing and dark and weird.

after that i looked around some more and found 'dancing at the blue iguana' which i had never seen and really liked. cheesy and kind old but not nearly as bad as most stripper movies.

More "obscure" than anything but: Stephen King's 1985 film "Cat's Eye," with Drew Barrymore. It's three loosely connected vignettes featuring a cat who is racing to rescue a little girl from an evil troll. Best to skip the first two parts and go to the final confrontation. BONUS: The end credits have one of the most 80's songs ever.

Me and You and Everyone We Know.

That sounds like it's based on a recent news story about a guy who refused to come out of his attic even though the house was on the market for sale.

I'm partial to watching any awful trashy Nic Cage film I come across...his OTT acting is usually so bad it's really good.

I finally watched part of "Vanilla Sky" (a Tom Cruise movie from 2001.) HATED it. It seemed like a infomercial for Scientology. I hope everyone who got paid off of that movie did good things with the $$$.

I usually love Cameron Crowe movies but what the f*ck man

I Am not an Easy Man

    A gender role reversal flick

Overall not that great, but it gets some funny interesting details right [girl fixing the apartment with butt crack, door person in uniform at high end hotel is female]

    dubbed from French

Any movie with Sandra Bullock is odd to me. Her movies are so stupid to me. So to me they're worse than Chinese water torture might be like.

^ Did you like it? If you did, Hunt for the Wilderpeople is by the same director, it's really funny.

I love it! It took me awhile to watch it because I kept thinking, Do I really want to do this? LOL I'm glad I did. It has just the right amount of Stoopid in it and I like wacky stuff. One of my other favorite dumb movies is Tucker And Dale vs Evil. If they don't hurry up and make a sequel I'm gonna lose my mind!

    "Electric Dreams."
Not the recent Philip K. Dick series, but the movie from 1984.
It is gloriously 80's. I don't know how old I was when I first saw it, but I did develop a massive crush on Virginia Madsen.
The movie doesn't seem to be very popular today, and there isn't even a modern video release (it's on YouTube, though). It may be best remembered for its closing song:

I saw that on HBO and I really do not understand the plot. I mean it seems like the computer falls in love with Virginia Madsen.

The Human centipede-it's stupid, very low budget and I've never seen worst acting in my life.
