    Default Botched Breast Lift?

Hey guys. So I am concerned. I got a breast lift 1 1/2 years ago. I got the lift first. What has happened as you can see by the photos, the extra pigment from my areolas is still there in a big line where the vertical scar would be.

I consulted with a few doctors. None of them in the consult mentioned this would be a problem. The first I found out, I was in PreOp! While the doctor was drawing on me with the marker. It was then revealed that because my areolas were so large, there would be pigment from them left over. He said not to worry, once Healed, he would remove the extra pigmented skin with local anesthesia. No problem so far. So last summer I get my implants. I ask about removing the pigmented skin again. He said, after my implants are in and I am healed, he will remove it. First post op, he started changing his story. He said he cant remove the skin completely because the areolas were "abnormally large." Never heard this before, nor did he say this would be a possibility. I was upset, but thought the surgery made me look so much better I could live with it. Now, when I go in for the consult AGAIN, the story once again changed. This was last week. He said now he can only take off a little on one side only!!! So the story changed several times and I am extremely upset and wish I hadn't got the surgery. My boobs looked bad before, but I feel I only traded the problem for another. I didn't expect perfection but I feel like he is not being honest, and I like I said, I wasn't even told about this issue until the day of surgery for the lift! And even then he said without a problem it would be all removed. He is also very fast and I can hardly get a word out. I am not lying or exaggerating when I say he only sees me for less than 3 minutes. I am so upset, I don't see how I was such a difficult case. I have seen before pictures with much worse breasts and larger nipples than mine.

I am going to get a second opinion from another doctor, but if anyone can offer any input, it would help me feel better. Is this normal? Does anyone have any experience with this? Thanks!

After implants. Hope you can see, I realize now there was fuzz on my mirror.

just get a second or third opinion

He sounds kind of rude if you ask me. Calling your nipples "abnormally large" when they appear normal size to me. I wouldn't doubt if he has an abnormally small dick.

Anyhow maybe those mederma scar sheets would help reduce the size and dark color of that area. Or a fade/lightening cream. Just be cautious of the ingredients and try to get as close to natural as possible since it is your breast area. Side note - I've tried these on other areas of my body so to err on side of safety run things by a reputable doctor (one who has no financial incentive to tell you not to use otc products)

It seems like the doctor should be able to give you some kind of skin bleaching agent for that or be able to treat it by laser. Some plastic surgeons just don't care. I have implants too but no breast lift. I don't have hyperpigmentation but I do have bad/dark hypertrophic scars under my boobs where the incisions were made. Get a 2nd opinion from a different doctor.

Your surgeon sounds very uncooperative. Last April I had breast augmentation with a lift (lollipop on one boob, anchor on the other). My scars are still noticeable - it takes a couple of years to fade completely. I'd schedule consultations with other doctors and get opinions.

It is true that the scars take a long time to fade. I've had 3 lifts.

I started dancing in 2010 and had my 2nd surgery 2 years before that and they were still visible but then faded almost completely. until i had to get a new lift, which was december 2016, ugh and now they are still very visible.

Well girls, I fussed and guess what? All of a sudden he could fix it! He removed 100% remaining nipple skin from both sides, and they look great nothing is moved up too far like he claimed it would. I think what it was was since I already paid for the surgery and this was going to be a free correction, he tried to get out of it. So shady. Oh well I am happy and now and as a reminder research your doctor!!!

I still have the stitches so looks a little gruesome, but when they come out I will post updated pictures. Thanks for all the support.
