Default Monthly Earning Goals: Accountability Thread

Living simply, with a vanilla job supplementing, it's easy for me to fall into subsistence stripping; going in irregularly and only if I really have to.
Part of what's helping me get into a serious work schedule is having a monthly goal to work toward in as many or few shift as possible. Ultimately I would like to budget well enough to have quarterly taxes set aside in addition to saving enough to put myself through school and put a down payment on a house.

The cammgirls always have a $/week goal going on and I want one for us too! If you don't want to post a number post a percentage. What's your minimum goal? You're dream goal?

My low goal for March was $1,000
    My high goal was $2,000
Currently I'm at $1,300 (I was only able to work three shifts so far this month, and last night sucked saggy balls) or 65% of my high goal. I'm out of town tomorrow so tonight is the last night I have to try and hit it. Since I already met my 1st goal I'm not panicking and would be happy to do even just $400 tonight (85%), though $600 or $700 would be awesome.
My plan is to go in at 8pm, glam it up, not hide in the dressing room at all, and be the most fun party girl ever.

Also since I did not meet my high goal this month I will be keeping my April goal at $2000. In order to make this sustainable I want to only increase earnings in slow un-intimidating and low pressure increments. Trying to run a marathon here, no more startled sprinting and scrambling.

Yes! I need a goal this month, too... I'm working full time at my vanilla job (bleghhh) so that makes it harder to figure out when to go into the club. I'd be content with $1k from dancing, but really stoked with $2k.

"subsistence stripping" lol I love that. I get stuck in that mode too I think everybody does-sometimes it just doesn't feel worth the effort. it's hard when your bills are so freaking high too-putting money in my landlord's pocket definitely doesn't excite me lol. I don't have a vanilla job but I'm trying to start a side business so this month I'd love to have at least a grand to put towards that!

I'm still a newbie but I'm technically a full time stripper. I have free time on my hands so I really have no excuse not to be working. I'm currently paying my own rent and utilities which averages about to 500 dollars a month and I want to save for a plastic surgery expense that I'm assuming will be between 8 and 10 K (these plastic surgeons love to tax I see)

So I wanted to know from the pros, what a good monthly earning goal would be for a newbie stripper like me?

I think reasonable goals depend on what a reasonable amount to make on shift is. If you make $250/night then 2 nights take care of your expenses. If you make $500 that's one night. If you make $50 that's 10 nights. If you're trying to save money I'd recommend making sure your taxes are paid - so set aside 30% of everything you make for that. So if you earn $2000/month half would go to living expenses and taxes and the other half could go toward spending and saving- so $500 rent+, $600taxes, $500savings, $400 spending. 2 to 4 shifts per week might be a good starting place (weekend nights tend to make more money). Keep track of what you make and see what a reasonable goal looks like for you.

My goal is 20 shifts or 15,000 this month. 20,000 is my high and slightly unrealistic goal.

It’s day five in April and I’ve only worked one shift so I need to get my ass in gear. About to go in for a double so hopefully it makes up for the fact that I didn’t go in yesterday.

But yeah @yourfavexotic - if you can make decent money five nights/week and work the club just like a regular job, then do it! Build good habits early and get the money while it's hot.

Honestly it took many years to get here. It’s also important to note that I commute three hours a day because I can’t afford to live where I work even with stripper wages. So my numbers are high but probably inflated because of the high cost of living around here. You can’t even buy a house in the ghetto for less than half a mil.

I remember working in small town dives, being able to earn my rent in half a shift and walking to work and although my numbers were lower, I was very content.

    Keep hustlin’ ladies!

It really depends on your club and how it’s set up. What is the most you can possibly make while at work if you don’t stop. Is there an hourly rate? I usually try to figure this out and then aim for making 25% of that.

At my club it’s 400 an hour which is 3,200 in an 8 hour shift. If I was dancing 50% of the time that’s 1,600. But I also have to account for chatting with customers, stage, bathroom breaks, the couple of songs before stage while I’m getting ready to go on, getting dressed after a lap dance. So if I’m making money 25% of the time, that’s 800 for 8 hours which is 100 an hour or 5 dances per hour.

Every club will be different and it might vary day to day but this is a good way for me to break it down.

Also holy crap- I just plugged in your formula to my dive, and the club I'm going to check out on Friday. It perfectly reflected what I'm earning now- but my earning potential at the other place is almost double! Sold!

I wish I thought of this myself but a very smart lady on tumblr figured it out and she’s also a member on here.

Also 4 bedroom and half an acre for 130,000 sounds dreaaaamy.

My goal is based on the number of shifts I'll be working in the club. If I'm working 4 shifts. 2000$ my cost of living is low, and I work 5hr shifts 10pm-3am. Basically, Layla's math 100$/hr.
