    Search Dallas, TX

I plan on auditioning at XTC, DG's and Spearmint Rhino in Dallas. Is it true that you now have to wait 10 days for your background check to go through for out of state dancers? If anybody has any insight on this it would be greatly appreciated!

There's a recent thread about it in here or in Stripping General. Speaking honestly Texas has really cracked down on certain businesses and the 10 day wait for background check might be the least of a stripper's worries.

I just did mine and they told me it’s been about a three week wait now.

Three weeks?? Planning on auditioning tomorrow, and if all went well start working in a week. That's bs, who can wait that long?

Just telling you how it is babe! You can go work in Fort Worth while you’re waiting for your check to come back, no license required there.

Might have to. I just heard FTW is way sketchier than Dallas.

It's been a loooong time since I''ve danced but my experience with Rick's at FW was you could do clean dances on the floor, and guys did not complain. Hated the hour long mandatory club employee meeting after the shift, and an hour drive back to Dallas so was not worth it my time back then. But if you don't have a choice but to work at FW or nothing until those 3 weeks are up, maybe its worth trying Rick's FW? I think Rick's being a corporate chain, maintains a less seedy rep unless things have changed drastically in recent years.

Maybe Dallas/FW is doing this to check on immigration status. With trump making a final decision to revoke DACA. And maybe the 3 week wait will have an effect on the Cuban dancers as well. I'm just theorizing. Has anyone on here actually asked the owner of Bioverify what's going on? I've dealt with him before and he seemed very frank with me. Not that he would necessarily tell anyone the real story. I'm just brainstorming and hypothesizing the whole 3 week wait situation.

When my friend did hers it took 3 days. I’m just relaying the info—it’s not a mandatory wait time, that’s just what they shared with me as far as what to expect.

If you have a Texas ID it supposedly is a shorter wait, I unfortunately do not.

They check for certain criminal records on the background check. As far as the immigration status, you have to have a SS number or a US work permit in order to get hired in Dallas clubs. At least this is how I remember it used to be, doubt the clubs would be hiring illegals without potentially getting themselves in trouble.

Rick's on Calmont? I was looking at that one, but the drive for me would be about 2 hours one way. I'd have to make some serious $$$ to make that worth my time lol

But there's a wave of Cuban dancers in Dallas now. I'm sure that they're not here legally. I don't know if that has anything to do with Bioverify though. It could just be that they're backed up.

Those cubans started to come here a few years ago and actually they do have legal immigrational status. It was during Obama time when relationship with Cuba changed. Now I believe they stopped it, but this wave that came earlier is mostly legal here.

After clubs started checking for SS / work permits, all the girls that I think did not having proper documentaction at the time, stopped coming to the club to work.

Wow! And they're overflooding Texas in a bad way. That's a shame.

Has anyone noticed a hiring preference for the Cuban/Hispanic girls? It does seem to be up to the discretion of the manager, and I wonder if they hire the type of look they personally prefer?

Not sure why we are so worried about who is getting hired. Plenty of non Cuban girls are doing the most in the club.

Anyway—just letting everyone know I just got my Bioverify back and it did take about three weeks. FYI.

^^^^ well, different dancers have different reasons for different things. That's why!!! I don't think I have to explain everything I ask on an open forum like this.

Because in Baby Dolls I didn't see any Caucasian girls, so it was a curiosity question about club preference. I don't want to waste my time if the managers are only hiring Hispanic at the moment. Trends are always changing.

Exactly!!! And we shouldn't be scolded on here by other people on here. If they don't like our question then they shouldn't respond to it. They obviously don't get what we're talking about. It's just to be mean or to bully on here.

I didn't take it that way, and I really don't think that's happening Either way, this is a great place for us to hash out our thoughts, frustrations, industry/club questions - personally I believe it's a great resource and I hope we can maintain a supportive and positive environment. The industry is brutal enough as it is! lol It's all good.
