    Default Tattoo Coverup

I'm getting my first tattoo in May. It's not going to be large, but it will be dark on light skin. I want to cover it sometimes when I'm dancing, especially when auditioning at new clubs. What cover makeup have you tatted dancers had success with when you needed it? What doesn't budge through a whole shift and contact?

P.S. I heard about some product the artist can apply at the end of my tattoo appointment to seal it and allow me to dance earlier in the healing process without risk of infection, but I can't remember the name. Anyone know it?

1000% try Dermacol. Be careful of fakes on amazon though. It's a UK based theatre makeup brand but they do sell to the US. I use it with a drugstore powder over top. It's something crazy like 50% pigment concealer. I typically have to reapply twice throughout the night. Especially because it's dark in the club, you can't see it at all. In bright light it's faint.

Tegaderm is the name brand of the bandage that you can put over the fresh tattoo to help heal it and prevent infection. I have never used it myself on any of my tattoos but I have friends who swear by it and feel it helps ease the healing process a lot.
