    Dizzy gaining thickness vs ..flab.

    So anybody knowledgeable about exercise/weight training? Calling all gym rats.
    as I was getting my cheek filler injections today I asked my dr what else I could do to increase sculptra effectiveness , and she was like stop doing so much heavy cardio and gain a little weight, your BMI is way too low for facial fullness, and you're 30 now. And that stuff like running or anything high impact makes your face sag. And yeah she's right, my bete noire is thin face. but I have a super thin hard body look right now, visible abs, all that, and I'm kinda scared of gaining too much weight or getting heavier again.i do twenty min of hardcore cardio everyday (like pouring sweat HIIT cardio) and then some weight training a few times a week.but now I need to cut out all the cardio?? How much cardio should I do ?

    I've attached pics of my goal I guess, I don't wanna gain more than what's pictured..so weight training and minimal cardio?

    Hi, I clicked your topic because I have a room mate doing something similar. She's trying to bulk up also. She hired a personal trainer to 'get a Brazilian butt'. He works her butt - from all angles, weights and stresses nutrition - lots of protein and good carbs, which I thought interesting since we had been doing paleo for a few months previous, but he said carbs are needed. Oh and congrats on your look, wish I had the discipline to have my abs show.

    Thanks, I’m naturally skinny I’ll admit, but I did work my butt off (literally) for the muscle definition..sucks that I feel I can’t have a great body and young face at the same time. Sigh.
    But thicker girls are in anyways!

    Stop doing so much cardio and start weightlifting focusing on your booty and tracking calories.

    Sorry about the botched order but the second picture was an, ahem interesting phase in the evolution of Tempest. It was after Fatty Patty Mcfatfuck phase 1 from 2011-2012 but prior to Fatty Patty Mcfatfuck phase 2 of 2016. I did work out then but as you can see from the obvious case of Hank Hill ass it's possible to be skinny and still be flabby.
    I work out with a personal trainer 4x a week and I do a lot of weight training. Recently he has gotten me started on a body weight centered regimen that combines the best of both worlds. I'll post pics in a month to let you know how it has affected me vs free weights and machines.

    Tempest you cracked me the fuck up. No you didn't call it hanka hill ass lol (in the neighbors accent just for u) I am skinny fat, I outwardly look to be in great shape, but am not. I can make my ass look nice depending on angle, but at the wrong angle I have a saggy old lady ass that just hangs there. I am trying to tone up and gain. I lift weights every other day, and yoga on my in between days. Very little cardio in the meantime. I know cardio is necessary but for me it is counter productive until I gain.

    For me obviously I have to eat more calories than I burn, but this is difficult with my metabolism. You can find a few sites online and there is an app called a pound a week that you can use to figure out just how many more calories you will need to eat per day to gain a pound a week. Even then, I was not putting on weight. I don't mind if I gain a little fat as well as muscle but your case may be different.

    Look some asses are always going to be lean. The "big booty" trend wasn't the norm in fashion/culture for decades. Photoshop & rap videos show an ass reality that a lot of people cannot achieve without cosmetic surgery.

    Aside from that having a nice butt & thighs is good for your fitness.

    Yeah you need a surplus of 3,500 calories a week to gain one pound..and you gotta account for exercise as well, idk how exact those workout machines at the gym are for calculating calories burned, but per workout it says I'm burning like 300-400. I've been cutting my cardio workout in half (so only doing 10 min of intense cardio) and then lifting heavy ..abs and butt/legs. I'm doing the weight machines but I'll move onto free weights when I get a bit more confident.

    Also been eating a lot of duck eggs, sweet potato,nuts, chia seed pudding with full fat coconut cream, protein bars, whole wheat with peanut butter, and of course veggies..I'm still avoiding sugar and dairy though, I know I could gain weight with those foods but it wouldn't be good weight.

    ^ I must avoid dairy and sugar while bulking as well. I second coconut cream and use coconut milk in my "fat ass smoothie" that has about 800 calories in it.

    Yeah I'd be happy just having a small but round booty! I'm mostly just hoping it helps fill out my face , along w/ the sculptra injections. And maybe my arms, they're looking kind of veiny and scrawny. Blah, it's like I can never get to that happy medium

    You might look into taking Maca root supplements too. They really helped me gain solid weight in my ass and thighs and filled out my face too.
    Do your future self a favor and work hard now.
