Default Advice on getting dancers as personal training clients (Las Vegas)

Hey everyone! Just recently joined Stripper Web. You can call me, Takeo.

I am a personal trainer in Las Vegas. Relocated from Los Angeles this past Fall. I've thankfully been able to build up a pretty decent clientele since moving my business. I work with clients of all different backgrounds. Young, old, men, women, novices, a few athletes, etc.

However, I have yet to work with women in professional dancing over here. They can be a pretty loyal clientele and are great for referrals. With dancers, I know how to help them get more toned, build up their legs and glutes, teach them how to go about a sustainable diet, etc.

My question is, how do you suggest going about contacting them? Something tells me trying to actively seek them out on Instagram is not the way to go. Lol. I'm sure they get enough (unwanted) messages on a daily. I know my girlfriend does.

Do any of you know of a forum, or thread where I can maybe post a paid promotion to dancers in Vegas?

I almost began working with one who reached out to ME via Instagram, but she ended up having to tend to some family issues out of state. I'm confident if I begin working with one, others will inquire about training as well.

I want to make sure I go about this the most professional way possible. Please understand I am not some creepy POS who's trying to get with women in this industry. I'm not trying to waste my time. I've been with the same woman for many years now. (Getting married next year.) She was a former go-go dancer. (She was not a go-go dancer when we met.) I'm not a player. Never have been. Always saw it as a waste of time. I mean, really. I know some guys who juggle around all these women, yet can't hold down a friggin' job. It's ridiculous.

Anyways, I'd appreciate your feedback. Hope everyone has a great week

Maybe ask staff members at the club if you can leave your business cards. Have the housemom put it in the dressing room.

I see. Do you suggest calling first? Or just show up unannounced? If so, is there a particular time of day I should visit?

    Appreciate your input btw!

Go to the club before it gets busy, dress business casual but not too nerdy. Ask to speak with manager on duty or house-mom. Be sure to tip all employees, this goes a long way. Some people will look you dead in the eyes, say that they will place your cards then dump em in the trash. One hand washes the other in Vegas so tip any employee that may get you the opportunity to put your cards in the dressing room. Another good place to drop cards would be all of the convention and promo modeling agencies, and private party agencies. If you go to any Vegas club prime time you will get brushed to the side and wait a long time to talk to anyone of importance. You will want to go around 6-9pm ish.

Got it. Thanks for your input! I've only stopped by one club. That was yesterday in the middle afternoon. I'm about 15-20 min away from most of the clubs. It's tough to get there earlier on during the regular week, but I'll be stopping by a few places tomorrow in the early evening. Like you said, the woman I spoke to at this particular club looked me dead in the eyes and said she'll, "See if the manager will let me put the cards out for the girls." Seemed sincere, but you never know. All I need is one club to follow thru. Didn't occur to me to tip whoever I speak to. That's perfectly legitimate, and I'll do just that on my next few visits. Thank you!

Keeping it real, as a dude you're probably not going to get many dancers as clients. Girls don't want to be harassed at their job and the more aggressive you are promoting in a club-the less trust you will gain from staff or girls. What guy doesn't want to train hot chicks? I've been told a million times by customers, that they would "train" me *eyeroll*. Even though you may be kosher, we deal with quite a bit of men propositioning us for a multitude of things. Try promoting in public areas with business cards/deals, advertising towards show-girls in general would be my best advice.

Dancers might permit him to train them if he pays well.

You're probably better off getting male strippers as clients.

No offense but even though you probably don't have bad intentions I don't know too many strippers who are gonna be like oh yeah here's this man who comes into my strip club trying to get us to get by trained by him so he can maybe touch us and see us in sexy workout wear because he knows we're strippers. That's just how it would seem to any of us even if those aren't your intentions. Its' not like getting a personal trainer is hard and I think most of us if we're interested in one would rather go find our own instead of hitting up the guy who leaves his card in out work place. Go ahead and do it but don't waste a bunch of time going around leaving your card at clubs because it probably won't be very beneficial to you.

It is Vegas, takes a long time to get people to trust you there. Going after Dancers as clients seems a bit weird to me, as if dancing wasn't a work out itself.
Put your time in at the gym and hope a few see you having great results with the female clients you currently are training. Several girls I used to know who danced there also were personal trainers but their clients were not other dancers.

It's Vegas, you have to build up a solid reputation. Which isn't easy or happens over night. Girls don't go to work to be worked. You might offer one of the managers a few sessions and then offer him a referral fee for every girl you sign up to a package of sessions you are selling.

I appreciate the feedback, ladies. I can understand where some of you are coming from. However...getting dancers as clients isn't my only priority. I currently network with a chiropractor office, massage therapy office, health food store, and a psychiatrist's office. In other words, I am a trainer with a diverse clientele. Each relationship I have built be it through a single person or place of business was due to my own hustle by either, 1) Communicating via email/social media, or 2) Literally walking into the place of business and introducing myself. (Which is very rare for anyone to do these days.) Regardless of anyone's opinion, this is how I have gotten things done over the years as a trainer. I can be told, "no" 20 times before I get a, "yes." That one, "yes" can make all the difference in the world. All it takes is one client to bring more referrals, and so on, and so on.

It becomes crystal clear very quickly to my clients I am 100% professional. Each program is catered according to my client's needs, and goals. Sure. Any woman, (or man for that matter) can just pick a trainer from a hat filled with names. Hell. I could do that with a mechanic, barber, massage therapist, etc.

However, like any work field, not everyone is exactly the same. In my world, every trainer's philosophy, workouts, nutrition plan, communication abilities, reliability, and service are going to be completely different. When I was a trainer in Los Angeles I worked with a few models and actresses from time to time. No big names. Just women who were trying to get in the best shape, and (like me), promote themselves to get more work. (I also trained no name male actors.) So although some of you can (understandably) have your suspicions, this is not some game to me. This is my livelihood. My only source of income. Like you, I work my ass off to make a living. Along with building strong professional relationships with clients no matter what field they work in. Be it male or female. Period.

Again, I appreciate your feedback, and hope everyone has a wonderful week.
