I'm not minimizing Troyer's pain by saying this but a lot of little people work their niche in life - in some areas it's a guarantee of work or acceptance.

Dang why you have to call him mini- me though? lol
But yeah sad indeed.
I remember him on Austin Powers as the character mini-me but also on Surreal Life. On SL he would get pissy drunk (literally) so IDK did he die from alcoholism or did he have a short life expectancy as a little person?

The article says he was taken to the hospital for alcohol poisoning and was suicidal. I'm not sure why, unless he had mental issues. He seemed to have a good life. I saw him on celebrity wife swap. He had a beautiful girlfriend, a nice house, and a Rolls Royce.
I was sad to read that he died. Alcohol poisoning + suicidal sounds like he was struggling with depression. Poor guy. People can seem to have a good life on the outside but if they're dealing with negativity and depression in their own heads, it doesn't matter how much money or material possessions they have or how attractive their significant other is. It's still not enough to them. Money can't buy happiness when you have mental illness and are not getting treatment for it.

I read somewhere his condition caused chronic pain, which kind of puts his issues in perspective. I have lived with chronic pain (24/7) and it left me suicidal.
I loved watching him on The Surreal Life: Fames Games and Surreal Life season 4.
