Default General shoes etiquette during lap-dances

What is the general etiquette for shoes at your club? Is it a shoes-on as a must policy or more flexible?

Do you keep your shoes on or take them off during lap-dances? I'm still not able to withstand being in my heels for too long and especially when it comes to dancing, as I can get clumsy when dancing for someone with them on. Have you ever had issues from customers either way - whether keeping shoes or taking them off? I typically politely say that I will take them off as I don't want to hurt them

I'm interested in how others see this policy enforced at their club, and whether it's something usually followed or more flexible.

I take them off in VIP but I'm pretty sure there's a law about keeping them on on the floor.

Where I live, giving a lap dance without wearing shoes is allegedly considered prostitution. Or a licquor law violation. I've heard both and I'm not sure if any of it is true.

I keep my shoes on for floor dances and take them off for VIP.

I wonder if location plays a part as well, as some things are a little more 'flexible' in Canada, or at least the clubs that I've worked at. That's interesting to hear about not wearing shoes being equivalent to prostitution. Have you ever seen any cases of the rule not being followed and repercussions?

Yeah the only shoe rule I've encountered is no standing on couches with shoes on (which would be really difficult anyways)

I usually keep them on for quick dances unless I'm wearing mules, but longer vips I definitely take them off.

I honestly have no idea if this is even true. Managers have a habit of lying to scare dancers into following rules.

I would NEVER take my shoes off on the floor, it’s filthy and against the rules at most clubs. At my home club all dances are done in either the large communal dance room or champagne room. Rules are that we must take off our shoes in those areas. Owner got sick of constantly repairing/replacing furniture because dancers weren’t smart enough to realize heels put holes in leather.

I always take mine off for two or more dances in a row (no dances out on the floor at my clubs). I also have a hustle around that, I come off as a very tall Amazonian type in my heels but I’m surprisingly small without them. So when people comment on my height, I giggle and talk about how little and cute I am once I get my shoes off in the back and how having them off lets me get so much closer.

I never take my shoes off. Think of how many gross warty, athlete’s foot, fungus having feet have been on that floor, not to mention shoes that have walked through pee, barf, gasoline, think of someone gross getting semen on the floor and you’re standing in it for ten minutes.
I also think it’s unladylike to have your shoes off in the club, quickest way to look unsexy.

I never take my shoes off either. But I can see why girls might want to during dances. Over here they also say that taking our shoes off=prostitution.

    Doesn't sound too pleasant.

On top of the fact the floor is nasty ( i highly doubt they clean that mf throughly) it looks very truck driver-ish to be at work with your shoes off.

If you must take them off, do it in the DR or at the very least do not walk around barefooted/let your bare feet touch the ground. Your feet are porous and can absorb whatever dirt, toxins are on the nasty ass floor. It's probably equivalent to walking in a public gas station bathroom floor barefooted

i've never heard of taking off shoes to be a thing! lapdances at my club tend to run on the short side so no one removes their shoes. i keep mine on and contribute to the tearing up of the leather couches.

These threads about shoes always keep me entertained for some reason!!! I prefer to take my shoes off because I'm taller than average and I have a bad back. I usually don't care what kind of shoes other dancers wear. And it doesn't bother me if they keep them on or take them off. It's none of my business. And to each his/her own.

Depends how long the dance is and what I'm doing. If it's a quick dance I leave them on, if the man wants me to dance around silly for three hours (which has happened multiple times) I'll take them off, but I always leave them on for most of my work time, unless the man is being extremely rough and pushing me around, then I don't want to fall over!

Wow. Just wow. That may be the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard of in a club, I'm really sorry.

can't believe nobody has said this yet, but not only is it gross having your bare feet on the nasty floor, when you take your shoes off both your shoes and your feet most likely STINK to high heaven!!

and dont even say that your shoes dont stink.....whenever ANYBODY wears bare feet in shoes THEY STINK!!

I have a long record of foot customers that would say otherwise. Feet in and of themselves should NOT smell, regardless of how sweaty they may be in your plastic shoes. Odors are caused by bacteria having chemical reactions with your sweat, so if smelly feet are consistently a problem there's an issue with the foot or the shoe.

If your Pleasers start smelling bad make sure to use alcohol wipes on them after each shift.

I work in a place with pretty clean floors in the VIP rooms, and cannot imagine physically doing an hour of air dancing on tile without taking my shoes off. At this point my knees and stuff just gonna straight up reject that haha
